ACT-IAC Announces New Executive Committee Leadership

The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) today announced the election results for the ACT and IAC Executive Committees. The new leaders will take office on July 1, 2014.

In accordance with ACT bylaws, ACT President Dr. Rick Holgate will continue his current role as President of the American Council for Technology. Casey Coleman, formerly Executive Vice President and positioned to become the next ACT President, recently moved to a new role in the private sector. ACT-IAC is fortunate to advance under the exceptional leadership of Dr. Holgate. The incoming Executive Vice President will be announced at a later date.

“I am grateful to have the opportunity to stay on for another term and further propel ACT-IAC’s strategic vision across all of our established priority areas,” said Holgate. “The ACT Executive Committee provides an objective forum where government employees can debate and collaborate, and we continue to deliver actionable solutions for the issues effecting our government and its citizens. I look forward to producing more valuable content like our recent 7-S for Success Framework, and to continuing to provide a range of events aimed at education and collaboration between government and industry.”

New to the ACT Executive Committee are Alissa JohnsonJoanie NewhartSanjay Sardar and Joe Ward. They will serve a two-year term and join current ACT Executive Committee members Adrian GardnerGreg Giddens, Mike Howell, Darlene Meskell, Brad Nix and Deborah Schilling. Steve Elky and Margie Janney will conclude their terms and depart the ACT Executive Committee as of June 30.

In accordance with IAC bylaws, Dan Chenok (IBM) will become the new IAC Chair on July 1, 2014. The IAC membership elected Ted Davies (Unisys) as Executive Vice Chair. He will become the IAC Chair on July 1, 2015. Bob Suda (Suda and Associates) continues in the position of Vice Chair for Finance. Mitzi Mead (Accela Consulting) and Sherry Weir (Kearney & Company) were elected to second terms on the Executive Committee and Marty Cummings (Integrated Support Systems) was elected to his first term. Current Executive Committee Vice Chairs at Large include Lisa Akers (ASI Government), Brian Bonacci (Level 3 Communications), Wayne Davis (CenturyLink Government Services), Debbie Granberry (CSC), Lisa Martin (LeapFrog Solutions), Carol Miller (Miller Consulting Group) and Adelaide O’Brien (IDC Government Insights).
