ChinaJoy has grown into Asia’s largest and the world’s leading game event since its first presence in January 2003. The following are the three highlights of this year’s ChinaJoy.
Under the theme of “Reshape the World Pattern of Game”, Howell International Trade Fair Ltd., the organizer, will launch the Next-gen Arcade Console and Home Entertainment Expo (ACH) and Comic & Animation World Amazing Expo (C.A.W.A.E) simultaneously with ChinaJoy to create a communication and showcase platform for the entire game industry.
World renowned console manufacturers including Xbox and Sony will set up booths in the event to showcase their revolutionary next-gen consoles designed for living room entertainment, which will introduce the international game trends into the Chinese market.
The exhibition part of ChinaJoy will cover online games, mobile games, console games, web games and hardware products for interactive digital entertainment. To meet the different needs of game players and professional visitors, the exhibition is divided into ChinaJoy BTC Area and ChinaJoy BTB showcase (business matching).
ChinaJoy has witnessed the development of China’s game industry in the last 12 years, which has gained great attention from other industries. As a result, the upcoming ChinaJoy will attract not only a number of leading game producers, but also many related Internet companies, including Youku.com and Xiaomi.
In addition to product experience, ChinaJoy 2014 will bring game fans a grand Cosplay show – ChinaJoy Cosplay Carnival, consisting of an online feast and a national contest. ChinaJoy Cosplay online feast was officially launched on February 12, combining the online contests of ChinaJoy Cosplay Cover Coser and ChinaJoy Cosplay DV. Meanwhile, the national final contest of Cosplay Carnival will be held in the exhibition area of ChinaJoy 2014, gathering finalists from China’s 29 cities.
In 2014, the game industry began to penetrate into conventional industries, including film & television and media industries, and has been playing an important role in the national economic growth. Game firms amid the trend also expanded into new areas, including finance and education. Therefore, ChinaJoy will not only be an event for game players, but also a festival for all supporters of China’s game industry.
