Multimedia Plus (www.multimediaplus.com), a technology-driven creative services firm that develops communications solutions for the world’s leading brands, announced today that Thomas Martin, an executive with over 20 years of experience from both inside and outside the hospitality industry, has joined the company’s advisory board. The agreement coincides with the company’s plans to aggressively broaden its services into the international hospitality marketplace.
“We are thrilled that Thomas will be advising the Multimedia Plus team, to expand our communication services to the world’s leading hotels,” says David Harouche, CEO of Multimedia Plus.
Companies in the hospitality industry are based on service excellence that requires an impeccably trained and well-informed staff. The constant turnover of that staff and the innovative new service features offered by leading hotels require continual training, which is consistent in every hotel group around the world.
Harouche continues, “There are tremendous synergies within the needs of hotels, resorts, and the hospitality industry as a whole, and the services we provide. MMP’s experience of delivering highly branded and engaging programs, combined with our ability to measure training effectiveness, bring employee education to a totally new level for our clients. Thomas’ expertise in this industry, coupled with his impressive track record of launching some of the most successful hotel brands, will create enormous opportunities for us.”
Thomas is currently VP of Culture and Learning at SGEi, a cutting edge, global consulting and training group considered one of the most innovative and cutting-edge designers of service cultures and learning experiences. He leads the implementation of corporate cultures, human resource systems and the development and delivery of learning experiences.
Prior to joining SGEi, Thomas was VP of Learning, Culture and Recruitment with the Denihan Hospitality Group, where he assisted in the launch of The James hotel brand and The Surrey. He helped launch W Hotels as Corporate Director of Training and Brand Standards. He was also with The Waldorf=Astoria and The New York Palace Hotels. Thomas has consulted on customer experience management initiatives for clients such as the National Parks Service, Six Flags Theme Parks, Live Nation, Quest Diagnostics, Sol Melia Hotels, the Gramercy Park Hotel and Falling Rock Resort, which earned AAA’s Five-Diamond Award in its first year of operation.
“I am truly excited to be working with the Multimedia Plus team,” says Martin. “I feel that the company’s QuizScore platform is a unique tool that will bring a new level of communications and strategy to the world of hospitality training. Because it is available in 22 languages it allows for global reach and a consistent voice.”
QuizScore, a patented technology platform that drives performance and execution of company strategies with customers, is available as an iPad app. The platform correlates to business results, offers real-time skill building, and utilizes low-bandwidth video. High success rates of the program are due to bite-size learning modules, fully customized programs, and the ability to easily track results that leads to greater communications and mentoring of staff. Programs are currently running in Spain, Canada, Russia, Japan, Italy, among many others.

In the midst of the widespread popularity and adoption of cloud computing, it seems like everything is being offered “as a Service” these days: Infrastructure? Check. Platform? You bet. Software? In his session at 16th Cloud Expo, Kevin Hazard, Director of Digital Content for SoftL...
