TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/16/14 -- Compugen and Spyders announced today their plans to enter into an agreement whereby Spyders will provide a comprehensive set of Managed Security Services to Compugen clients in Eastern Canada.
A significant portion of all security services are now being delivered via external managed services providers. According to Gartner research, the value of IT managed security services is forecast to grow from $12 billion in 2013 to $22.5 billion in 2017. The increase in demand for managed security services is largely due to the growing threat of security incidents and the need for organizations to efficiently improve their service levels to customers and employees.
Compugen's Managed Security Services is directed at such organizations, and will be jointly delivered by Compugen and Spyders, Compugen managing the call through its Concierge Service Desk with escalation to Spyders' Toronto based Risk Mitigation Centre (RMC). Both centres will operate on a 24/7/365 basis.
"Spyders' approach to managed security services is well aligned with Compugen's broader vision for managed services," said Harry Zarek, President and CEO of Compugen. "Customers will receive rapid, professional attention from both organizations based on a single point of contact and seamless integration of our respective management and security expertise."
"Spyders is a recognized leader in IT and information security management services in Canada. This strategic relationship with Compugen brings together a highly complementary portfolio of IT security solutions, managed services, expanded service capabilities and in-depth expertise in IT security to many clients. By creating this business relationship that covers key Canadian business regions, our two companies are better positioned as a leading information security group to serve large and mid-size organizations." said Khaled Mansour, CEO of Spyders.

Unfortunately, traditional approaches to handling, storing and analyzing data aren’t adequate at this scale: they’re too costly, slow and physically cumbersome to keep up. Fortunately, in response a new breed of technology has emerged that is cheaper, faster and more scalable. Yet, in meeting these new needs they...

DevOps is being widely accepted (if not fully adopted) as essential in enterprise IT. But as Enterprise DevOps gains maturity, expands scope, and increases velocity, the need for data-driven decisions across teams becomes more acute. DevOps teams in any modern business must wrangle the ‘digital exhaust’ from the delivery toolchain, "pervasive" and "cognitive" computing, APIs and services, mobile devices and applications, the Internet of Things, and now even blockchain. In this power panel at @...
