DejaOffice, the #1 independent Outlook® app for Android, offers a way to store contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, and categories from personal and business versions of Office 365 and desktop Microsoft® Outlook software. Microsoft’s recent OWA for Android preview release focuses on offering a consistent email experience on mobile devices. CompanionLink and its DejaOffice app adds full support for other Outlook data objects that business professionals rely on. Advanced fields such as Outlook categories, Task priorities, Recurring calendar appointments, and User-defined fields are supported. Calendar reminders and Task alerts work with Android’s notification system.
“Microsoft delivered on their commitment in 2013 to create a better email experience on Android and iOS,” says Wayland Bruns, CTO of CompanionLink Software. “Email is half the equation for business professionals who also need their contacts, notes, task list, and schedule on their Android devices. CompanionLink completes the equation by adding support for these missing elements, especially for small businesses who still use desktop Outlook client software.”
CompanionLink supports Android 1.6 and higher, Office 365 Personal and Business editions, Outlook.com accounts, and standalone Microsoft Outlook 2000 and higher. Their 4-star DejaOffice app for Android stores and encrypts Outlook data on the device. DejaOffice can be configured to use its proprietary DejaCloud Connector for Office 365 and Outlook.com accounts. If synchronization with desktop Outlook is desired, people can download the optional CompanionLink for Outlook desktop product. More information about DejaOffice is available at www.dejaoffice.com.
