AddThis today announced a new online marketplace featuring tools that enable online publishers to serve more targeted and relevant content to website visitors. The company has also expanded its offerings of recommended content and has enhanced its analytics dashboard.
Within the marketplace, customers will find the new AddThis Tools Gallery of free and subscription-based “Pro” widgets designed to drive online content engagement and personalization. This includes widgets for sharing, following and recommending content based on behavioral data. AddThis Pro widgets include content recommendations that can drive click-through rates that are more than fifty percent higher compared to AddThis’ basic trending content recommendation tools. Additionally, AddThis plans to open the marketplace to select third-party app and widget developers by the end of the year.
Venus Imaging Education, publishers of PLUS Model Magazine and Daily Venus Diva, among other publications, relies on AddThis to serve relevant and engaging content to site visitors that also reflects their personal interests.
“Recommended content is a key strategy for all of our sites and we chose AddThis for form and function,” said Valery Amador, chief executive officer and co-founder of Venus Imaging Education, LLC. “We’re seeing better results from AddThis content recommendations because they are based on behavioral data and personalized for each visitor.”
New customers, and those using previous versions of AddThis tools, can update and apply the new free or subscription based widgets directly from the Tools Gallery without having to change any underlying code.
The new AddThis analytics dashboard now allows all registered users to easily see which of their website pages drives the most engagement as well as how website visitors interact with content through actions, such as sharing, following, liking, bookmarking, cutting/pasting URLs, emailing and printing.
AddThis tools are used by more than 13 million sites globally and now reach 98.3 percent of the Internet population in the United States, according to the latest comScore Ad Focus report. Sites using AddThis tools today include CBS Local, EBONY, National Geographic, and Pet360.
AddThis personalizes the Web with powerful, easy-to-use content engagement tools, APIs and services. Reaching over 1.7 billion unique consumers monthly, AddThis tools are used by more than 13 million domains worldwide to power social sharing, increase overall engagement, boost traffic and provide behavioral insights.
