The new software (v1.2.1) increases Ethernet capabilities for easier remote and collaborative network and wireless workflows. With this new update users can seamlessly access clips over the network without the need of touching the unit, edit and write back the clip onto the internal HDD or SxS cards for later playback by FS-T2001. Users can download the latest software release from VITEC’s FS-T2001 web site. FS-T2001’s new features include:
- Ultra-fast Ethernet transfer speed for smooth rendering and edit of clips over the network
- Write access enabled to the internal HDD directly from your NLE
- Playback of NLE edited clips directly from FS-T2001
- Web interface for remote control (HTTP API available, refer to User Manual for details)
- Wi-Fi support for remote control (with VITEC Wi-Fi dongle)

The Focus FS-T2001 is a broadcast field deck media recorder for XDCAM workflow and incorporates the complete range of Sony professional formats, including HD422 50Mbps and XDCAM EX/HD. The FS-T2001 supports removable professional media SxSPro/SxS-1 and SDHC cards. This flexible, feature-rich field deck/media recorder also incorporates a 250GB internal hard drive for live recording/playback or clip backup, allowing storage of more than 10 recording hours in HD422 50Mbps.
