Bluebeam® Software, leading developer of markup, measurement and collaboration solutions for designers, contractors, facilities and owners, is exhibiting at the 2014 American Institute of Architects National Convention. The Bluebeam team will be demonstrating how PDF-based flagship solution, Bluebeam Revu®, enables architects and engineers to implement digital workflows that span the entire project lifecycle, from site surveys to punch.
“Revu 12 introduces and refines features to make creating, accessing and managing field-friendly project document sets easier than ever,” says Richard Lee, Bluebeam President and CEO. “As project teams look to work faster and more effectively, Revu gets all stakeholders on the same page as early as possible in the design process and keeps teams connected to information, and each other, throughout the life of a project.”
Over 60% of top US design firms and over 50% of top international design firms are using Revu to digitize workflows including drawing reviews, submittals and RFIs, speeding up project communication by 60%. With Revu, project teams electronically redline a digital master set of 2D and 3D PDFs directly created from AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or any IFC file. All comments are automatically tracked and team members collaborate on project documents within Revu’s integrated cloud solution, Bluebeam Studio™.
Conference attendees will see new features and enhancements in Revu 12 that allow design and construction professionals to more quickly and easily access information, share details and track updates to project information including:
- The ability to create 3D PDFs from SketchUp Pro to leverage all of Revu’s 3D markup and navigation functionality.
- Batch Link, which automatically creates an unlimited number of hyperlinks by file name, page label or page region for one-click access to project files.
- AutoMark 2.0, which generates page labels and bookmarks from combining multiple page regions, even on scanned documents, to get PDFs in order.
- The addition of Capture to add multiple photos from the field, or an image library, to any markup which provides more details, clarity and context.
- Bluebeam Studio daily email summaries of changes to project documents so team members can stay up to date and in the know.
Additionally, Bluebeam has invited SMART Technologies into their booth to explore conversations with end users about the opportunities for leveraging large format touch screens for improved project collaboration and implementation.
The AIA 2014 Convention and Expo will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago from June 26th through June 28th. Bluebeam will be exhibiting in booth #1634 to demonstrate how Revu is streamlining workflows and enabling project teams to design and communicate better.
