Univa, the Data Center Automation Company, announced today that Univa® Grid Engine™ has been certified and integrated with Schlumberger’s ECLIPSE* industry-reference reservoir simulator software version 2014.1. This integration will provide users with an easy-to-use platform to use Univa’s workload manager in conjunction with the ECLIPSE reservoir simulator.
Univa’s core product, Univa Grid Engine software, is a distributed resource management system that allows organizations to run large quantities of mission-critical, compute-intensive applications faster and more efficiently. The ECLIPSE software is the most deployed reservoir simulation software solution providing a complete and robust set of numerical solutions for fast and accurate prediction of dynamic behavior for all types of reservoirs and degrees of complexity including structure, geology, fluids, and development schemes.
“By working with the world leader in the oil and gas simulation market, we are furthering our commitment to provide innovative, unparalleled technology. Now that our teams have completed the development of scripts and necessary testing, the use of Univa Grid Engine with ECLIPSE high performance clusters is seamless and allows end-users to complete reservoir analysis at an amazing rate,” said Fritz Ferstl, CTO of Univa Corporation and father of Grid Engine.

MongoDB Atlas leverages VPC peering for AWS, a service that allows multiple VPC networks to interact. This includes VPCs that belong to other AWS account holders. By performing cross account VPC peering, users ensure networks that host and communicate their data are secure. In his session at 20th Cloud Expo, Jay Gordon, a Developer Advocate at MongoDB, will explain how to properly architect your VPC using existing AWS tools and then peer with your MongoDB Atlas cluster. He'll discuss the secur...
