NIMBOXX ran away with the win at this week’s 2014 Structure Launchpad Competition, securing the most People’s Choice Award votes for its data center-in-a-box solution.
Competing against seven other finalists selected from a pool of more than 60 applicants worldwide, NIMBOXX CMO Trent Fitz presented the company’s unique approach to delivering the ‘atomic unit’ of the software-defined data center - and putting the hyper-scale model of computing within reach for companies of all sizes.
“Everyone is talking about the software-defined data center, but the reality is, few organizations have the technical expertise or resources to build it themselves,” said Fitz. “We’ve seized this opportunity to provide a single, converged system that delivers extreme simplicity, screaming performance and dramatically reduced costs. In the words of one of our favorite customers, our ‘Kung Fu is strong,’ and we’re thrilled that the audience at Structure enthusiastically agreed with them.”
In related news, NIMBOXX today also announced the general availability of its all-in-one solution for software-defined data centers, as well at $12 million in Series A funding from SMC Holdings.
The annual Structure event is Gigaom’s flagship conference that focuses on the future of cloud computing and Internet infrastructure. For the past eight years, it has gathered the most influential speakers, buyers and vendors for two days of discussion, reporting and debate.
