ORCHARD PARK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 06/19/14 -- Financial and retirement planning firm Moldenhauer & Associates will host an information seminar for Western New York's Indian Americans on June 24 at 6 p.m. at Tandoori's Royal Indian Cuisine, 7440 Transit Rd., Williamsville, N.Y. The seminar is an opportunity to discuss financial planning tailored to the Indian American community.
"We don't promote specific products or try to fit attendees into a one-size-fits-all investment. Instead, we try to tailor the discussion to suit the needs of the majority of the attendees," says Brett Moldenhauer, chief executive officer of Moldenhauer & Associates. "A large percentage of Indian professionals say a successful career defines the American dream. That's a different perspective than the one held by most of the general population."
According to the Pew Research Center, the median annual Indian American household income is $88,000 compared to $49,800 for the U.S. population; thirty-eight percent of Indians hold advanced degrees compared to 10 percent of the U.S. population. And nearly 60 percent of South Asian Americans (versus 31 percent of the general population) say they have an adequate safety net, reports the "MetLife Study of the American Dream."
"The statistics show that many Indian Americans are well educated, successful and savers. The discussions at our seminars accelerate when we bring together people who share the same life experiences or values," adds Nicholas Ingold, an investment advisor for Moldenhauer & Associates and host for the firm's Indian-American seminar at Tandoori's. "We see a lot of head-nodding as we present concepts, and we can begin drilling into specific concerns much more quickly because there is a consensus about fundamentals."
Ingold is an expert on innovative investment management strategies and estate planning. He is a graduate of the State University of New York and holds his Series 7 license for selling securities.
