Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX), a leading technology solutions provider, today announced that the Company’s ClimateCab™ environmentally-controlled cabinets have won a 2014 Commercial Integrator BEST Award.

This year's winning entries were chosen by a panel of accomplished integrators along with the editors of Commercial Integrator to join an exclusive group of products deemed most noteworthy. Judging criteria for the 2014 Commercial Integrator BEST Awards included innovation, functionality, competitive advantages, and benefits to the installer.
ClimateCab climate-controlled, NEMA 12 cabinets are a cost-effective, efficient cooling solution for those who need to house IT equipment outside the data center. The integrator can offer a solution customized to each customer's particular needs because the cabinets come in different heights and depths and with multiple rail and air-conditioning options.
In smaller installations, users can save thousands by using a ClimateCab cabinet instead of installing a complete data center with a custom cooling system and raised floors. They're well suited for use in remote locations, wiring closets, and industrial environments. They’re NEMA 12 rated to protect equipment from falling dirt; circulating dust, lint, and debris; and dripping or splashing liquids in indoor environments. Plus, the sealed cable entries prevent air exchange.
“We are pleased that Black Box’s ClimateCab cabinets have been recognized for their innovation, functionality, and benefits to the integrator,” said Justin Schaeffer, Black Box Product Manager. “They are an excellent choice for many environments, and they enable users to install equipment without the need for additional cooling or costly infrastructure.”
