Epsilon Imaging, Inc., a visualization and analysis software provider transforming cardiac diagnostic quality and workflow, and Esaote North America, a leading provider of ultrasound and MRI systems, today announced a partnership to deliver a premier, cost effective solution for improved echography with the Esaote MyLab® Alpha ultrasound and the Epsilon Imaging EchoInsight® visualization and analysis application suite. Together, Epsilon Imaging and Esaote North America provide high quality, flexible and affordable diagnostic capability, and leading edge visualization and analysis with strain imaging for improved patient care, workflow and economics in echo. The Companies are showcasing MyLab Alpha and EchoInsight at the Oregon Convention Center Booth 111 (Epsilon Imaging) and Booth 703 (Esaote North America).
Under this non-exclusive co-marketing agreement, Epsilon Imaging and Esaote North America will offer customers access to both MyLab Alpha and EchoInsight. Customer support for products will be provided by respective companies.
MyLab Alpha is a high performance laptop that brings mobility, enhanced ergonomics, and uncompromised image quality to echo labs. The high-resolution LCD screen, intuitive touch-key operation, and comprehensive transducer selection combines with an extensive suite of echo applications to enhance the productivity of busy departments. Wireless connectivity completes an optimal workflow, allowing data to be easily transferred to any PACS or network architecture, including wireless printers and mobile devices.
By assisting clinicians to quickly and easily integrate strain imaging into the clinical environment, EchoInsight enables improved visualization and analysis of echo studies. EchoInsight provides intuitive features and clinically-specific applications with straightforward information to improve confidence in echo assessment and management. The platform offers customized integration to healthcare IT as a vendor neutral, DICOM compliant platform. Standard features include automated processing, rapid review and study comparison, efficient endocardial border tracing, intuitive visualization and analysis, click-of-a-button wall motion assessment, an automated measurement suite based on guidelines and concise, visual-based reporting with PACS archival ability. Clinical applications include Cardio Oncology, Right Ventricle (RV) and Stress Echo.
“We are pleased to partner with Esaote North America to deliver high performing, convenient ultrasound and cutting edge visualization and analysis with strain imaging for improved quality, standardization, workflow and economics in the clinical echo lab,” said Eric Sieczka, president and CEO at Epsilon Imaging. “Our vision is to provide patients and clinicians with best-in-class, cost-effective solutions that provide the greatest opportunity for early diagnosis and management.”
“Today’s healthcare environment demands the efficient delivery of quality care, from prevention to therapy,” said Brian Murphy, vice president of sales and marketing for Esaote North America. “Combining the premium portable performance of MyLab ultrasound with EchoInsight’s tools for visualization and analysis provides clinicians a premier solution to efficiently diagnose and manage cardiac disease.”
A poster (163), “Global Longitudinal Strain is Significantly Impaired in Patients with Cardiac Sarcoidosis and Preserved Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction,” will be presented at the ASE ’14 Scientific Sessions on Sunday, June 22, 2014. The study used EchoInsight.
Attend an educational webinar, “Improving Cardio Oncology Management with Clinical Speckle-Tracking Strain Imaging: Web-Based Lecture and Case Review Session,” with Dr. Wendy Tsang, University of Toronto Hospital on July 1, 2014, 12:00-1:00 pm (EDT).
