WAYLAND, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/23/14 -- Building on the success of last year's event, which drew more than 500 participants from around the state, the organizers of Pam's Run announced today the date and registration of its second annual run. Pam's Run is dedicated to the memory and legacy of Pam Manikas Washek, founder of Neighbor Brigade and a tireless champion for families in crisis.
The Second Annual Pam's Run will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2014, in Wayland, Mass. with a 5K or 10K race option. All proceeds from the run will benefit the non-profit Neighbor Brigade, which was founded by Washek in 2010 so that no family needs to face crisis alone.
Washek's sister Joanna Manikas and niece Jayme Nowland once again are co-chairing the planning committee for Pam's Run with assistance from volunteers from within Neighbor Brigade's 35 chapters in Massachusetts.
"We were all blown away by the participation we saw last year. The energy, enthusiasm, spirit of community and volunteerism, as well as the caliber of runners, far exceeded our expectations for the very first Pam's Run," said Nowland. "We can't wait to see how it grows from here. We heard from so many runners last year that the warmth and spirit of this event was very special. We know Pam would be thrilled by the act of neighbors coming together in this way to show their commitment and celebrate their support for one another."
When: Pam's Run will take place on Saturday, October 18th, at 10:00 a.m. Festivities with kids' activities, live music and food for all will be hosted throughout the event.
Where: The race will start and finish at the Claypit Hill School, Adams Lane, Wayland, Mass., and offers both a 5K and 10K course.
How: To register for Pam's Run, visit www.pamsrun.com. Registration is $35 per participant in advance and $40 on race day.
The organizers are actively seeking sponsors, in-kind donations and volunteers for race day. Learn more at pamsrun.com.

IoT generates lots of temporal data. But how do you unlock its value? You need to discover patterns that are repeatable in vast quantities of data, understand their meaning, and implement scalable monitoring across multiple data streams in order to monetize the discoveries and insights. Motif discovery and deep learning platforms are emerging to visualize sensor data, to search for patterns and to build application that can monitor real time streams efficiently. Adding public cloud resources to an existing application can be a daunting process. The tools that you currently use to manage the software and hardware outside the cloud aren’t always the best tools to efficiently grow into the cloud. All of the major configuration management tools have cloud orchestration plugins that can be leveraged, but there are also cloud-native tools that can dramatically improve the efficiency of managing your application lifecycle.
