Kona Grill Opens in El Paso, Texas

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 06/23/14 -- Kona Grill, Inc. (NASDAQ: KONA), an American grill and sushi bar, announced the opening of its newest restaurant in El Paso, Texas on June 23, 2014.

The new Kona Grill is the latest addition to The Fountains at Farah, a regional lifestyle center located at 8889 Gateway West Boulevard, which is adjacent to the northeast corner of Hawkins Boulevard and Interstate 10. The Fountains at Farah is a new, 600,000 square foot lifestyle center featuring a unique combination of retailers, restaurants, events and entertainment in an outdoor setting. With immediate proximity to the established Cielo Vista Mall and six miles from El Paso's primary vehicle crossing point with Mexico, the center attracts a mix of local and international guests. The 7,000 square foot restaurant features an outdoor patio, a signature ten-foot aquarium and other modern design elements.

The opening of El Paso represents our seventh restaurant in the state of Texas and our second new restaurant this year. The Company plans on opening three additional restaurants in 2014, all in the fourth quarter, in Sarasota, FL; Alpharetta, GA and Columbus, OH. Currently, Kona Grill has leases signed for 2015 openings in Miami, FL; Plano, TX; Fairfax, VA and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The timing of openings will vary based on a variety of factors, including landlord delivery of the building, permitting, construction and other factors, some of which may be beyond the Company's control.
