Brian Williams, co-founder and CEO for OneSource Virtual (OneSource), was named a 2014 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ at the Southwest Area North 2014 Awards gala held on June 21. His award is in the category of Emerging Growth Company for the southwest region. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
Since founding OneSource Virtual in 2008, Williams has increased revenue each year, as well as expanded OneSource’s service offerings outside the U.S. In addition, Williams and OneSource are responsible for introducing the cloudsourcing model, which is changing the way organizations of all sizes leverage technology and business process outsourcing services.
“It is a privilege to receive the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year™ award, and I want to express my gratitude and thanks to the remarkable OneSource Virtual team for all we have accomplished together,” said Brian Williams, co-founder and CEO for OneSource Virtual. “Three years prior to starting OneSource, I saw there was a gaping hole in the human resources marketplace. Through our partnership with Workday, we have been able to offer our customers a product that gives them the ability to choose the technology solution that meets their strategic needs, while having an outsourcing partner who provides services inside the customer’s own application.”
Now in its 28th year, the program has honored the inspirational leadership of such entrepreneurs as Howard Schultz of Starbucks Coffee Company, Pierre Omidyar of eBay, Inc., and Mindy Grossman of HSN. Recent US national winners include Reid Hoffman and Jeff Weiner of LinkedIn; Hamdi Ulukaya, founder of Chobani; and 2013 winner Hamid Moghadam, CEO and Chairman of Prologis.
Williams leads a team of more than 400 Workday Experts, specializing in the deployment and delivery of the Workday platform to medium and large organizations. Other recognitions Williams and OneSource have earned include being named No. 23 on Forbes’ 2014 list of America’s Most Promising Companies. In 2013, the company ranked No. 54 on the same list. Additionally, the company ranked No. 29 on the Inc. 500 in 2013, as well as being ranked the second fastest growing technology company in Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) by the Metroplex Technology Business Councils’ (MTBC) 2013 Fast Tech list.
As a Southwest Region award winner, Williams is now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 15, 2014. The awards are the culminating event of the EY Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
