UKIAH, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/23/14 -- TRiQ Inc., a leading supply chain solution provider for the legal marijuana industry worldwide, recently had its CannTrol Vulcan50 (www.triqsystems.com/products/vulcan50.html), the world's first cannabis specific drying technology, tested for mold killing effectiveness. The study demonstrated the CannTrol mold kill methodology is effective at killing living mold present on cannabis at harvest. CannTrol appears effective at reducing levels of the two mold organisms studied to below 10 Colony Forming Units per gram (CFU/g).
It kills up to 99.9% of molds including aspergillus, botyrtis and more without damaging the cannabinoids.
The study was conducted by a team of Ph.D. scientists using a Certified Cannabaceuticals testing program. The Werc Shop, an independent laboratory, specializes in certifying the safety of medical cannabis products.
Jeffrey C. Raber, Ph.D., President of The Werc Shop, commented after the study that "every serious cultivator would be wise to investigate the use of this technology towards standardizing their production efforts."
TRiQ Inc. CEO and Founder Matt Cohen states, "Our clients worldwide now have the ability to control contamination issues from plant pathogens. This especially important for our Canadian and European clients who relied on irradiation. Now they have another viable option -- the CannTrol system."
