AssetLogic has launched the Fund Information Network at the FundForum International in Monaco.
AssetLogic’s Fund Information Network is a secure, web-based service where members of the fund industry can efficiently collect, manage and share private data and documents with trusted members of their network. It combines the security and privacy of a financial application with the ease of sharing found in social networks.
“Today is a big day for our team as we’ve been busy building a new infrastructure for the fund industry to efficiently gather and share its key information,” said Sam Gilstrap, CEO and founder of AssetLogic. “We believe that a network architecture is the only way to truly address the fund industry’s data management challenges by providing data ownership, integrity and transparency down to the underlying assets.”
Anyone within the fund industry can become a member of AssetLogic, but the solution is especially helpful to Fund Managers. It allows them to:
- Increase data integrity by collecting data and documents from the source
- Reduce operating expenses by efficiently sharing information with partners
- Provide a look-through to underlying assets
- Provide oversight of 3rd party service providers (delegates)
- Export data for analysis and reporting
AssetLogic’s power comes from its network architecture and common data fields. Fund information is entered into industry-standard fields by the owner of the data. Once the data is in the network, it can then be shared with any other member of the network. Once permission has been granted, the member can see the actual source data, not a copy.
Bob Kneip, CEO of KNEIP, added: “We’ve partnered with AssetLogic because their service is a complementary service to KNEIP’s product line. Aggregating the upstream data from asset managers is a big challenge for management companies. AssetLogic now makes it significantly easier.”
AssetLogic offers three types of member accounts, ranging from a free guest account, to professional accounts for service providers and executive accounts for fund managers. Pricing is based per account for professionals and based on usage for executive members. Feel free to contact [email protected] for additional pricing information.
