Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty Implements dotloop Across 25 Offices and 800+ Agents

One of Real Estate Magazine's and REALTOR(R) Magazine's Top 75 Brokerages Becomes First Large, Multi-Office Brokerage in Greater Hudson Valley and North Jersey to Use dotloop

CINCINNATI, OH -- (Marketwired) -- 06/24/14 -- dotloop today announced that Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty, one of Real Estate Magazine's and REALTOR® Magazine's Top 75 Brokerages, has selected its platform to eliminate paperwork associated with the transaction process. The 800+ agents within the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty network will use dotloop to negotiate, collaborate, sign and close deals online, all in one place. The brokerage is also rolling out dotloop's premium software suite, which includes dotloop-DASHBOARD, to get complete visibility into every deal being conducted across its 25 offices, allowing its brokers to better manage the compliance, efficiency and the productivity of each agent.

Opened 30 years ago in a small town in the Hudson Valley, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty has grown to become the premiere real estate brokerage in New York City's northern suburbs, closing more than $1.5 billion in real estate sales every year in Westchester, the Hudson Valley and Northern New Jersey. The brokerage has also been an advocate of leveraging technology to the benefit of agents and clients alike, becoming the first company in the greater Hudson Valley region to put its listings online, offer mapping and directions. It is now the first to provide a fully mobile environment for homebuyers and sellers, powered by dotloop. The brokerage also opened its "real estate office of the future" in White Plains, New York in November 2013 -- an ultramodern, open concept space that accommodates the business needs of its agents and features the latest in telecom, TV displays and energy conservation technology.

"Making the right technological investments leads to increased growth, and also allows agents to work more efficiently and drive a higher quality experience for their clients," said Matt Rand, managing partner, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty. "Our culture is powered by great people, innovation and collaboration -- and our investment in dotloop deeply aligns with that guiding philosophy."

"Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty is passionate about the communities they serve, and also recognizes the essential role technologies like ours play in creating superior agent and client experiences," said Austin Allison, CEO of dotloop. "Their agents, buyers and sellers are used to doing nearly everything online, and real estate should be no different. By becoming the first brokerage in the greater Hudson Valley region to join the dotloop movement, the brokerage is delivering the mobile-friendly, hassle-free experience their agents and clients expect."

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...

Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Buildings are a pool of ever-changing performance data from large automated systems such as heating and cooling to the people that live and work within them. Through machine learning, buildings can optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve occupant comfort by ...

Wooed by the promise of faster innovation, lower TCO, and greater agility, businesses of every shape and size have embraced the cloud at every layer of the IT stack – from apps to file sharing to infrastructure. Such cloud investments have delivered measurable benefits. But they’ve also resulted in some unintended side-effects: complexity and risk. ...
