IQMS, a manufacturing ERP software and MES developer with an ongoing, proactive commitment to its product and relationships, today announced that the Automation Group, its intrepid team of programmers and developers, was recognized as Network Products Guide's Product Engineering Team of the Year. Presented last night in San Francisco at the 9th annual awards dinner and presentation, the industry accolades from Network Products Guide are the world's premier information technology honors recognizing achievements in every facet of the IT industry.
Tasked with expanding the interface capabilities of IQMS' ERP and MES solution with hardware on the shop floor, the Automation Group works collaboratively with customers to design custom applications and full immersion modules that automate processes and deliver solutions to individual business needs. Two examples of recent significant developments that are changing the manufacturing landscape include:
- RealTime™ Process Monitoring: Taking advantage of the Internet of Things (IoT) surge in manufacturing, IQMS' process monitoring system directly links to work centers and high value production equipment to collect process parameters and relay that data immediately to an ERP solution for improved efficiency and productivity.
- Extended Mobile Applications: On a mission to make every aspect of the ERP and MES solution mobile, a wide array of applications have been developed for IQMS manufacturers' devices to give them real-time, enterprise-wide visibility from anywhere.
Additionally, previous notable Automation Group initiatives have included a RackTruck program (a sophisticated inventory management application that combines inventory scanning, forklift mounted monitors and stocking location mapping), a Signature Capture application (enhanced compliance and traceability through tablets to store signatures and track transactions), Sales Configuration Templates (flexible sales configurations for customizable orders) and In-Line Vehicle Sequencing (an application for IQMS' Tier 1 automotive suppliers to help track every piece associated to every container for full traceability and part history).
"We were pleasantly surprised that our Automation Group was recognized by the industry and our peers in this way," said Daniele Fresca, Director of Marketing at IQMS. "We have been innovating at the forefront of the Internet of Things and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) advancements for a long time and this recognition only helps to fuel our drive to continue delivering advanced automated manufacturing solutions that solve our customers' challenges."
