iMDsoft®, a leader in clinical information systems, announced that MetaVision® has gone live throughout the public health system for the entire Sjælland region of Denmark. The system was implemented in over 330 beds across the critical care and perioperative environments of seven hospitals, including adult and neonatal ICUs, pre-op units, ORs and PACUs. Implementation for the last three hospitals was completed in only four weeks from start to finish. iMDsoft and Medidyne cooperated to bring about this solution.
Patients in the Sjælland region now have one standardized electronic health record which can be accessed across departments and hospitals, giving clinicians the platform to coordinate care for the their sickest patients and the data they need to make informed decisions about the best course of treatment. MetaVision generates comprehensive, accurate, and actionable electronic medical records, offering minute-by-minute patient information collection and display. Using the system's advanced decision support and reporting tools, the hospitals will enforce clinical and administrative protocols and continually identify opportunities for improved patient care.
iMDsoft offers unique solutions designed to facilitate large scale deployments, and has a proven track record of successful region-wide projects all over the world. MetaVision enables the region to maintain standardization and enforce best practices across institutions.
"The implementation of MetaVision has improved the quality of clinical documentation throughout the region. This data can now be used to deliver better care and to manage patients more effectively,” said Dorthe Bruun Jacobsen, Head Nurse at Køge Anæstesiologisk Afdelning and clinical lead of the Sjælland project.
“More and more regions are recognizing the critical role MetaVision plays in achieving their goals across their health network,” said Moshe Friedman, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at iMDsoft. “It is satisfying to know that MetaVision can provide the platform and functionality necessary for a large region like Sjælland, and the flexibility they require to meet their ongoing needs.”
