MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK -- (Marketwired) -- 06/25/14 -- Residents in the tri-community area of Moncton, Riverview and Dieppe today celebrated the official opening of the Tower Road Dam and Reservoir in Turtle Creek, which now ensures that residents have continued access to safe, clean drinking water.
Built along Tower Road, this new 1.5-kilometer-long by 20-meter-high earth-filled dam and 250-hectare reservoir will provide the communities with an additional 16.5 million cubic meters of water. The original dam and reservoir, designed to service approximately 100,000 people, had outgrown its design capacity as the Greater Moncton Area has seen tremendous growth in recent years. The new dam and reservoir can now serve close to double the population, meaning a significant improvement in the ability of the region to provide for both current and future demands for clean drinking water.
-- The Government of Canada contributed up to a maximum of $9.79 million to this project from the Major Infrastructure Component of the 2007 Building Canada Fund. -- The Government of New Brunswick also contributed up to $9.79 million to the project. -- The City of Moncton provided the remaining funding of the total estimated project cost of $43.2 million.
"We are proud to support this significant infrastructure project that will ensure that the Greater Moncton Area's water supply meets the needs of its growing population. Our Government's investment in initiatives like the Tower Road Dam and Water Reservoir project clearly demonstrates our continued commitment to create jobs, growth and long-term prosperity for all Canadians."

Personalization has long been the holy grail of marketing. Simply stated, communicate the most relevant offer to the right person and you will increase sales. To achieve this, you must understand the individual. Consequently, digital marketers developed many ways to gather and leverage customer information to deliver targeted experiences. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Lou Casal, Founder and Principal Consultant at Practicala, discussed how the Internet of Things (IoT) has accelerated our abil...
