Two Pyng Medical Devices Named Top Hot Products of 2014 by JEMS

FASTResponder Sternal IO and T-PODResponder Pelvic Stabilization Device Endorsed as Top New Products of 2014 by Industry Leading Journal of Emergency Medical Services

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/25/14 -- Pyng Medical Corp. (TSX VENTURE:PYT), an award-winning developer of trauma and resuscitation products for emergency, combat and critical care personnel, announces that its new FASTResponder Sternal IO and T-PODResponder Pelvic Stabilization Device were both awarded with the Hot Products title for 2014 by the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (JEMS).

"Our team at Pyng worked hard to develop sternal IO and pelvic stabilization products to meet the specific needs of civilian EMS personnel," said Pyng CEO Mark Hodge. "We're thrilled that such a respected organization as JEMS has validated these efforts and endorsed FASTResponder and T-PODResponder as two of the top products for the EMS market."

FASTResponder is Pyng's newest sternal intraosseous device (sternal IO) that gives emergency medical services and emergency hospital personnel the critical ability to quickly establish vascular access, and rapidly and easily deliver emergency fluids and medications into the vascular system when traditional intravenous access fails.

Pyng Medical is the pioneer in sternal intraosseous infusion technology, having launched FAST1, the first FDA-cleared IO system designed specifically for use in the sternum during adult and adolescent emergency intervention. FAST1 has been trusted and used by military and combat personnel for more than 14 years. FASTResponder includes all the trusted and proven features of FAST1, but has been modified to specifically meet the needs of civilian emergency medical services and hospital critical care personnel.

T-PODResponder is Pyng's newest pelvic stabilization device from Pyng Medical. Developed for first responders, T-PODResponder is specifically designed to be quickly applied in the field by one person using an easy-to-tighten pulley system. With a highly flexible design, T-PODResponder is small and compact, is one-size-fits-all, and can remain on through MRI, X-Ray and CT scans.

According to the JEMS Hot Products website, "To earn the coveted title of a JEMS Hot Product, a product has to be not only innovative, but practical. Each judge reviewed products designed to not only improve your ability to deliver optimal emergency medical care to sick and injured patients, but also allow you to do it safely, more efficiently and with enhanced comfort for the patient. These contenders were rated on their originality, functionality, ease of use and need in the EMS setting."
