ManpowerGroup: Global Platinum Sponsor of 2014 Candidate Experience Awards

Talent Board and World's Leading Workforce Expert Recognize Employers Who Lead in Providing Applicants With a Positive Candidate Experience

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/26/14 -- Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the elevation and promotion of a quality candidate experience, today announced that ManpowerGroup (NYSE: MAN), the world's workforce expert, will support the 2014 Candidate Experience (CandE) Awards as a Global Platinum Sponsor, sharing its mission of elevating the importance of a positive candidate experience.

Now in its fourth year, the annual CandE Awards is a benchmarking and recognition program that assesses companies' current recruiting practices to identify, celebrate and raise awareness of those strategies that provide job candidates with a consistently outstanding experience. The first and largest program of its kind, the CandE Awards continues to grow and welcome new participants each year, with more than 170 companies registered to participate in the 2014 North American program alone.

"Organizations that want to attract top talent and drive business results must create a positive candidate experience," said Kate Donovan, president of ManpowerGroup's Global Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) Practice. "ManpowerGroup is committed to helping companies raise the quality, productivity and efficiency of their total workforce with the right talent. We are excited to partner with Talent Board to help more organizations understand the value of candidate experience and how to improve it."

In addition to supporting the 2014 CandE Awards through its Global Platinum sponsorship, ManpowerGroup plays a key role in steering the future of the CandEs program through its extensive knowledge of the Human Resources (HR) function. Three of the company's executives currently serve on the Candidate Experience Council, a group dedicated to ensuring Talent Board has access to the latest insight and ideas in the recruiting space. Donovan is a global delegate for the North American council. Sarah Peiker, RPO Practice Lead for EMEA serves on the European council, and Susan Howse, General Manager for ManpowerGroup Solutions Australia serves on the Australia and New Zealand council.

Gerry Crispin, Talent Board member and principal and co-founder of CareerXroads, commented, "Talent Board welcomes the support of organizations that share our passion for improving the candidate experience. It is clear that, through its innovative workforce solutions, ManpowerGroup understands the need for enhanced candidate experience. We look forward to working together to recognize those companies who get the candidate experience right."

The winners of the 2014 CandE Awards will be recognized and celebrated at a special event to be held in Chicago on Thursday, September 18, 2014. Additional information can be accessed at: http://nam.thecandidateexperienceawards.org/.

In IT, we sometimes coin terms for things before we know exactly what they are and how they’ll be used. The resulting terms may capture a common set of aspirations and goals – as “cloud” did broadly for on-demand, self-service, and flexible computing. But such a term can also lump together diverse and even competing practices, technologies, and priorities to the point where important distinctions are glossed over and lost.
Detecting internal user threats in the Big Data eco-system is challenging and cumbersome. Many organizations monitor internal usage of the Big Data eco-system using a set of alerts. This is not a scalable process given the increase in the number of alerts with the accelerating growth in data volume and user base. Organizations are increasingly leveraging machine learning to monitor only those data elements that are sensitive and critical, autonomously establish monitoring policies, and to detect...
Enterprise architects are increasingly adopting multi-cloud strategies as they seek to utilize existing data center assets, leverage the advantages of cloud computing and avoid cloud vendor lock-in. This requires a globally aware traffic management strategy that can monitor infrastructure health across data centers and end-user experience globally, while responding to control changes and system specification at the speed of today’s DevOps teams. DevOps is under attack because developers don’t want to mess with infrastructure. They will happily own their code into production, but want to use platforms instead of raw automation. That’s changing the landscape that we understand as DevOps with both architecture concepts (CloudNative) and process redefinition (SRE).
