Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX), a leading technology solutions provider, announced today that it has added Cisco® Powered Managed Business Video Services to its portfolio and renewed its Cisco® Master Service Provider certification for cloud and managed services. These two achievements put Black Box in an elite group of five partners in the United States who hold this sophisticated mix of expertise and certifications.
Cisco Powered Managed Business Video Services, and the renewal of its Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Master certification, enhances the expertise and value Black Box delivers to clients. “True to the Black Box mission to provide solutions and services that enable our clients to fully optimize their IT investment, these offerings and capabilities allow our clients to take advantage of new and different options to drive the operational outcomes they are looking for in their businesses,” said Chris Tjotjos, Vice President for Black Box Network Services.
“Taking an independent approach to solve our clients’ challenges allows us to keep our clients’ needs at the forefront of our engagements. Adding capabilities and services with diverse managed consumption models translates into better options and outcomes for our clients. Having our cloud and managed services rigorously audited by Cisco provides our clients an added level of confidence in their buying choices,” Tjotjos added.
Black Box customizes its Cisco Powered Managed Business Video Services to meet the individual needs of clients. At the core of Black Box’s managed video services is access to the fully staffed Black Box Technical Assistance Center and additional vendor support. Service options include staffing, concierge services, monitoring, and hosting services. Black Box offers clients predictable costs for operating a video solution, increased uptime expectations, improved end user experiences, and enhanced security and stability of the customer’s video solution.
In addition to this new Cisco Powered Managed Business Video Services designation, Black Box also holds a Cisco Powered Managed Business Communications Services designation. Holding both “Powered Service” designations affirms Black Box’s commitment to provide end-to-end managed communications solutions to clients. Based on validated architectures and end-to-end security, Cisco Powered services must undergo a rigorous certification process and third-party audit.
The Cisco Master Service Provider certification recognizes Black Box as having the capabilities to sell and deliver cloud and managed services. As a Cisco Master Service Provider, Black Box’s Cisco Powered Services must be built on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, and provide enhanced management and stewardship practices to customers.
