Healthcare Informatics Top 100 List Confirms it – Netsmart is Growing

Rapidly growing Netsmart has once again been ranked in the Healthcare Informatics Top 100 (HCI 100) listing of healthcare information technology (HIT) companies. Netsmart is ranked at No. 49 for 2014, the only health and human services-focused technology provider included in the listing.

The HCI 100, published in the June 2014 issue of Healthcare Informatics magazine, is an information resource and financial overview of vendors active in the healthcare IT market. The annual list ranks the 100 vendors with the highest revenues derived from healthcare IT products and services earned in the U.S. based on revenue information from the previous year.

“We’re proud to be named to the HCI 100 for the eighth time, a testimony to our unique combination as a long-established, trusted technology provider, but with innovative solutions for today’s evolving healthcare environment,” said Michael Valentine, chief executive officer, Netsmart. “As an example, our coordinated care solutions help organizations better care for patients across multiple providers at a time when providers are preparing to bear more financial risk.”

As the market leader, Netsmart has the expertise, track record and scale to help health and human services providers grow and thrive as they serve their clients. In 2013, Netsmart:

  • Welcomed more than 100 new clients, representing 1,085 facilities and serving 5 million lives
  • Provided the first Complete Stage 2 Meaningful Use-certified post-acute EHR, now for both Ambulatory and Inpatient settings
  • Completed 399 “go lives” of clients using Netsmart solutions
  • Supported 30 million clinical assessments through Netsmart CareRecord™ solutions (EHRs)
  • Successfully integrated behavioral health and primary care within a single CareRecord – treating both the body and the mind
  • Facilitated 48.3 million transactions through the Netsmart CareConnect™ care coordination solution
  • Facilitated 6.4 million prescriptions (31.2 million total since initially providing e-prescribing)
  • Supported 417 user group meetings
  • Added 220 new Netsmart associates to support continued growth in the company’s client base

In addition to providing EHRs and other core solutions that automate, digitize and improve services, Netsmart provides population health and care coordination solutions that power Health Homes and other care coordination models in seven states. This facilitates quality care for people with chronic conditions, seamlessly facilitating referrals between providers and queries between providers and Health Information Exchanges (HIEs).

Netsmart also provides revenue cycle management services to help providers maximize revenue and minimize claims rejections, as well as benchmarking and analytics solutions that aggregate data to provide best practices for the health and human services community.
