AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has appointed Glenn Hutchins to its board of directors. Hutchins is Co-Founder and former Co-CEO of Silver Lake, a global leader in technology investing with more than $23 billion under management. He will serve on the Corporate Development & Finance Committee of AT&T’s board of directors.
“Glenn is one of the world’s pre-eminent technology investors and will be a terrific addition to our board,” said Randall Stephenson, AT&T chairman and chief executive officer. “His deep expertise in technology and finance, combined with his public policy acumen, will be incredibly valuable to AT&T.”
Mr. Hutchins’ career spans three decades in finance and technology. He co-founded Silver Lake in 1999. Previously, Hutchins served as a special advisor on economic and healthcare policy to President Bill Clinton. He is a director of the NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. and serves on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Mr. Hutchins holds an A.B. from Harvard College as well as an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
