eMallFashion.com, the totally free online marketplace for retailers, is inviting its customers and sellers to support The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) through its fundraising initiative, 2014 Unite To Fight Breast Cancer, from this July until end of this year.
The initiative aims to help NBCF achieves its goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
Jason Teh, Founder of eMallFashion, says there are several ways people can get involved in 2014 Unite To Fight Breast Cancer.
"When eMallFashion customers shop on our website, eMallFashion will donate $5 to NBCF until end of this year, to raise a total of $2,000. Registered eMallFashion sellers can also donate a percentage of a sale towards the campaign."
NBCF is Australia's leading community-supported organisation dedicated to funding high quality research into the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer. It receives no ongoing government funding and relies on community support to improve the lives of Australians affected by breast cancer.
Ms Carole Renouf, CEO of NBCF, encouraged the community to support eMallFashion's fundraising initiative.
“Every dollar raised helps take NBCF one step closer to our goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. We’re now striving to accelerate the delivery of research results to reach this goal and reduce the suffering caused by breast cancer, and we can only achieve this with the help of fundraisers like eMallFashion,” says Ms Renouf.
“At eMallFashion, we're committed to supporting the community. Rather than simply writing a cheque, we want to bring people together for a united cause,” says Jason, who was inspired to support NBCF as breast cancer is an issue that touches nearly everyone.
“We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, which is why we're so passionate about supporting NBCF. By purchasing an item at eMallFashion, our customers will help in the fight against breast cancer.”
“We hope our 2014 Unite to Fight Breast Cancer fundraising initiative will help to raise much-needed funds, inspire people to support NBCF in the long term and help NBCF to achieve its goal,” Jason says.
The explosion of new web/cloud/IoT-based applications and the data they generate are transforming our world right before our eyes. In this rush to adopt these new technologies, organizations are often ignoring fundamental questions concerning who owns the data and failing to ask for permission to conduct invasive surveillance of their customers. Organizations that are not transparent about how their systems gather data telemetry without offering shared data ownership risk product rejection, regu...
