BBS Group and EnVerv, Inc. announced today their collaboration on a range of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) products. The Metator Smart Meter family covers applications for residential, commercial and industrial AMI metering in which EnVerv’s EV8010 Power-Line Communications (PLC) modem will be employed as the communication platform.
“We selected EnVerv as our AMI technology solution due to the superior performance of EnVerv’s modems under challenging network conditions and the fact that EnVerv offered the highest density and the lowest bill of material for its external circuitry”, said Behrouz Gholamrezaey, Chairman and CEO at the BBS Group. “Integrating EnVerv’s multi-protocol modems allow us to service PRIME based markets of Middle East and G3-PLC based markets of South Asia with the same communications hardware.”
“We are very pleased to have been selected by the BBS Group as their strategic AMI communications partner,” said Reza Mirkhani, Sr. Vice President at EnVerv. “BBS Group with its long history in telecommunications technologies is one of the most established meter vendors in Singapore and offers some of the most advanced end-to-end AMI solutions in the industry. We look forward to a strong relationship with BBS as they deliver complete PLC-based AMI systems to their growing customer base in the Middle East and South Asia.”
