Blueprint Expands Services to Offer Music Events, Concerts and Festivals in Alberta

Multi-Day Event, ARRIVAL, to Kick Off Company's Expansion in Calgary and Edmonton

CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/04/14 -- Blueprint, in partnership with Live Nation Canada, is proud and excited to announce the official launch of their expansion into Alberta. Beginning this summer, Justin Pandos of Connected Entertainment in Edmonton and Mikey Da Roza of Aqua Audio in Calgary, will join the Blueprint team to bring the very best event experiences to Albertans. To celebrate, this Labour Day long weekend Blueprint will throw a two-city event called ARRIVAL, which will be held at Edmonton's Shaw Conference Centre on August 29th and Calgary's BMO Centre on August 31st.

For Blueprint, the expansion demonstrates the demand the company has created for more artist-driven events amongst party-goers in the Pacific Northwest. It will also serve to signify the company's ongoing growth and established position as a leader in the entertainment industry. ARRIVAL will mark Blueprint's official entry into the Alberta market and serve as a grand statement of intent for the caliber of events to come.

The growth of the company into Alberta comes as a result of the long-standing relationships Blueprint's Alvaro Prol has fostered with Mikey Da Roza and Justin Pandos. As early pioneers of the scene, Da Roza and Pandos hold twenty-six years of combined experience, acting as cultural drivers in these markets. Having worked together on joint projects and events, Prol, Da Roza and Pandos developed a common respect for each other and recognition of the dedication and determination to achieve common goals. It is the alignment of these goals that spurred Prol to invite Da Roza and Pandos to join the Blueprint family and its wealth of resources, to raise the bar in entertainment events in Alberta.

Prol, head of Blueprint's events, promotions and talent buying division, shares, "I've known Mikey and Justin since the start of their careers and one of the biggest things that's always stood out to me about them was the passion they have for the industry. The music comes first, and we all share the same drive to develop and grow artists from the ground up. Because of the potential I see in them and the tools and resources we can offer at Blueprint, I know that together we'll grow the market in Alberta to offer some great musical experiences in the future."

Of the partnership, Mikey Da Roza says, "Over the years, we've seen Blueprint grow leaps and bounds and have great respect for the organization. I've always been an admirer of their drive, determination and brand presence, so it was with great excitement and elation when Alvaro reached out to me to talk about future business. When we really got down to the nuts and bolts of the relationship, I knew that this was something that had to happen. I'm very ecstatic to become part of the Blueprint family and join a team with vast knowledge and resources," Da Roza adds.

For Justin Pandos, joining Blueprint is an opportunity to bring new life into Alberta's entertainment industry. He shares, "Beginning with ARRIVAL, this signifies a new era of dance events in Alberta. There is no one in Western Canada at Blueprint's level and it is an honour and a privilege to join this incredible and dynamic team. When I think about what's to come, I'm beyond excited about what we'll be able to do and the quality of events we'll be able to throw."

In addition to hosting massive shows, events and festivals, Blueprint Alberta will continue with the company's dedication and mission to put music first. By adding programming at the club level, Blueprint will remain impassioned to foster and grow talent and artists from the ground up in Alberta.

As a statement of Blueprint's launch and intention to stay in the province, this August's ARRIVAL will become an annual event. Artists Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Deorro, Matthew Koma and more will be performing at Edmonton's Shaw Conference Centre in addition to Knife Party, Nervo, Cedric Gervais, Chris Lake and more at Calgary's BMO Centre. With a capacity of five thousand people at each show its inaugural year, Blueprint is excited to kick off a fresh wave of entertainment in Alberta with a massive celebration.

Tickets will go on sale on July 7th, and will be available for purchase at arrivalalberta.com. Guests will have the option of purchasing single event tickets or tickets to both shows. For more information on ARRIVAL and Blueprint Alberta, visit: www.thisisblueprint.com.

A strange thing is happening along the way to the Internet of Things, namely far too many devices to work with and manage. Blockchain. A day doesn’t seem to go by without seeing articles and discussions about the technology. According to PwC executive Seamus Cushley, approximately $1.4B has been invested in blockchain just last year. In Gartner’s recent hype cycle for emerging technologies, blockchain is approaching the peak. It is considered by Gartner as one of the ‘Key platform-enabling technologies to track.’ While there is a lot of ‘hype vs reality’ discussions going on, there is no arguing that blockchain is b...

You know you need the cloud, but you’re hesitant to simply dump everything at Amazon since you know that not all workloads are suitable for cloud. You know that you want the kind of ease of use and scalability that you get with public cloud, but your applications are architected in a way that makes the public cloud a non-starter. You’re looking at private cloud solutions based on hyperconverged infrastructure, but you’re concerned with the limits inherent in those technologies.

The use of containers by developers -- and now increasingly IT operators -- has grown from infatuation to deep and abiding love. But as with any long-term affair, the honeymoon soon leads to needing to live well together ... and maybe even getting some relationship help along the way. And so it goes with container orchestration and automation solutions, which are rapidly emerging as the means to maintain the bliss between rapid container adoption and broad container use among multiple cloud host...
The cloud era has reached the stage where it is no longer a question of whether a company should migrate, but when. Enterprises have embraced the outsourcing of where their various applications are stored and who manages them, saving significant investment along the way. Plus, the cloud has become a defining competitive edge. Companies that fail to successfully adapt risk failure. The media, of course, continues to extol the virtues of the cloud, including how easy it is to get there. Migrating...
Imagine if you will, a retail floor so densely packed with sensors that they can pick up the movements of insects scurrying across a store aisle. Or a component of a piece of factory equipment so well-instrumented that its digital twin provides resolution down to the micrometer.
The need for greater agility and scalability necessitated the digital transformation in the form of following equation: monolithic to microservices to serverless architecture (FaaS). To keep up with the cut-throat competition, the organisations need to update their technology stack to make software development their differentiating factor. Thus microservices architecture emerged as a potential method to provide development teams with greater flexibility and other advantages, such as the abili...
