Bernard S. Meyerson, PhD, IBM fellow and vice president of innovation, will deliver a keynote address about driving innovation to more than 1,200 enterprise IT professionals gathered Aug. 3-8 at SHARE in Pittsburgh.
During his talk, “Beyond Silicon: Cognition and Much, Much More,” Meyerson will share strategies for combining the right team with the infrastructure and motivation needed to power revolutionary ideas.
Throughout his 30-plus years with IBM, Meyerson has spearheaded both technical and strategic initiatives that changed the way large companies innovate. Among his many distinctions, he was named “Inventor of the Year” in 1998 by the New York State Legislature and “United States Distinguished Inventor of the Year” in 1999 by the US IP Law Association and the Patent and Trademark Office.
“As the mainframe continues to drive innovation, we’re delighted to host Bernie Meyerson at SHARE in Pittsburgh and hear his insights into leading growth and invention at large companies,” said Brian Peterson, SHARE president. “Bernie’s unique experiences and expert commentary will provide a wonderful foundation for the week as we focus on the mainframe as an engine of progress.”
Robert Andrews, co-founder and CISO of Mainstream Security, will deliver a second keynote address, “Security Trends—Looking to Future Threats.” The talk will cover trending threats and predictions for the future, as well as preparation strategies to keep your operations safe.
