Time Warner Cable (TWC), as part of its commitment to diversity and inclusion, today announced that it is sponsoring three upcoming conferences that support African-American and Hispanic communities. The company is sponsoring the annual conferences for the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), National Council of La Raza (NCLR) and National Urban League (NUL). "LULAC values its partnership with Time Warner Cable. The company shares LULAC's commitment to diversity and recognizes the importance of working to advance the needs of minority communities," said Brent Wilkes, LULAC’s National Executive Director.
“Time Warner Cable’s support of the 2014 NCLR Annual Conference and National Latino Family Expo provides great assets to these events and to our participants. This collaboration will contribute to the success of the most anticipated national gathering of Latino change-makers as we gather on issues that impact all Americans,” said Ron Estrada, NCLR Vice President, Integrated Marketing and Events.

I recently attended and was a speaker at the 4th International Internet of @ThingsExpo at the Santa Clara Convention Center. I also had the opportunity to attend this event last year and I wrote a blog from that show talking about how the “Enterprise Impact of IoT” was a key theme of last year’s show. I was curious to see if the same theme would still resonate 365 days later and what, if any, changes I would see in the content presented.

The challenge in moving workloads to the cloud has been the cost and complexity of ensuring the initial and ongoing security and regulatory (PCI, HIPAA, FFIEC) compliance across private and public clouds. With recent technological advances from Isomorphic Software and others, rich desktop and tuned mobile experiences can now be created with a single codebase – without compromising functionality, performance or usability. In his session at DevOps Su...
