DocuSign, Inc. (DocuSign®) announced that Reginald (“Reggie”) Davis, former general counsel and executive vice president of corporate and business affairs at Zynga, will join the company on August 4. Davis will serve as DocuSign’s general counsel and member of the company’s executive leadership team, reporting to Chairman and CEO Keith Krach. Ken Moyle, DocuSign’s current general counsel and vice president of legal and corporate affairs, will assume the role of DocuSign Chief Policy Officer.
Davis brings nearly 30 years of general business leadership and legal expertise in technology to his new role at DocuSign, including most recently as general counsel and EVP at Zynga where he managed the company’s hyper-growth from 114 to more than 3,600 employees; successfully completed 48 acquisitions that expanded the company to 32 offices worldwide; led the filing of more than 650 patent applications; and oversaw the third-largest Silicon Valley technology IPO. Davis led Zynga Legal to be named Most Innovative Legal Team by Inside Counsel Magazine in 2012 and was himself named San Francisco’s General Counsel of the Year by the Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2012.
“I’m excited to be joining the company that is already the global standard for Digital Transaction Management,” says Davis. “I look forward to further scaling DocuSign’s corporate legal, policy and governance efforts and working with DocuSign’s outstanding legal team to build on their success in driving business, industry and public sector acceptance of new forms of digital signature and transaction convenience with security for all kinds of organizations.”
“Reggie’s vast corporate legal knowledge, business background, and technology experience will help us scale DocuSign’s legal team into the future,” says Krach. “Reggie is joining DocuSign as we’re driving hyper-growth and expanding our services into key industries across the globe.”
Prior to Zynga, Davis led search operations at Yahoo! as vice president and served as VP and associate general counsel. He was also previously a partner at Hancock Rothert & Bunshoft (now known as Duane Morris) where he litigated cases in contract, patent and insurance matters. Davis received his Juris Doctorate from Tulane School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Harvard.
