Leading Internet-based chassis reservation exchange Chassisfinder.com announced today an expansion of their online chassis leasing and management tools with the development of an app for iPhone® and Android™. It is the only app on the market that allows chassis users to quickly find, reserve and track their history via smart phone. It is available to the public for free via the respective app stores.
“This is a big step towards making chassis procurement as easy as possible for truckers, 3PLs and other chassis users,” said Chassis Finder President Bill Knight. “A chassis can be reserved on chassisfinder.com in less than a minute. The new app makes that process even faster and more mobile-friendly.”
The new tool will allow any user to find chassis available for daily lease across the country. Registered users can reserve a chassis and view their historical activity. The app also uses smart phone technology to find the closest available chassis depot and provide driving directions to its location. Everything feeds to Chassis Dashboard, found at www.chassisfinder.com, which gives users online intelligence about their chassis usage and expense.
“Chassisfinder.com has changed the way we lease chassis, because we can use the exchange anytime, 24/7, to reserve a chassis in near real-time,” said Scott Hopkins, senior accountant of BP Express. “With the new app, it will be even easier to reserve chassis from mobile devices, removing more time and expense from the process.”
Chassis Finder COO Kevin Higgins states, “Our long-term vision is to use innovative technology to make the process of getting a chassis as easy and transparent as possible, thus reducing the amount of confusion, time, and expense involved in the current environment. We will continue to roll out new features focused on the future needs of the market.”
