UPDATE: ZyXEL Incentivizes Solution Providers to Upgrade SMB Customers With Secure Wireless Networks

Authorized Resellers Receive Free Business Wi-Fi Access Points With Purchase of Next-Gen UTM Firewalls

ANAHEIM, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/08/14 -- ZyXEL Communications, a leading provider of secure broadband networking, Internet access, connected home and routing products, today announced incentives for solution providers to assist them in upgrading their SMB customer networks with stronger security and a better Wi-Fi experience. Authorized channel partners will receive premium Business Wi-Fi Access Points (NWA5121-NI) at no charge with purchase of next-gen UTM firewall devices (USG40/40W, USG60/60W, USG110/210).

Security and mobility are at the top on the upgrade list for SMBs. After numerous serious data breaches at major companies in recent months, security efforts have gained renewed urgency among businesses of all sizes. Larger corporations have mandated stricter security measures from their SMB vendor partners. Potential security breaches created by the unstoppable BYOD trend and use of multiple smart devices at work, demands that businesses update their wireless network with faster, more manageable and more secure Wi-Fi solutions.

"ZyXEL has integrated a WLAN controller into our next-gen UTM firewalls to strengthen security and simplify deployment of wireless networks." said Steven Joe, executive vice president for channel business for Americas at ZyXEL. "This incentive will help our channel partners try our enterprise-class Wi-Fi AP risk-free, while improving profitability for their network upgrade projects."

ZyXEL's new USG series of next-generation UTM firewalls offers a huge bandwidth boost to small and mid-size businesses along with better protection from emerging cyber threats. A WLAN controller is built into the USG gateways with the WLAN management component closely integrated with security management to help SMBs quickly and effortlessly set-up and extend a secure WLAN network. In addition, the new USG line has app control to defend against productivity drain and a simplified, unified user interface to manage multiple security services.

Partner Incentive: Secure Wi-Fi
Authorized ZyXEL partners will receive up to two NWA5121-NI Wi-Fi business APs at no charge with purchase of the new USG series next-gen UTM firewalls. Details below:

DevOps is under attack because developers don’t want to mess with infrastructure. They will happily own their code into production, but want to use platforms instead of raw automation. That’s changing the landscape that we understand as DevOps with both architecture concepts (CloudNative) and process redefinition (SRE). Rob Hirschfeld’s recent work in Kubernetes operations has led to the conclusion that containers and related platforms have changed the way we should be thinking about DevOps and...

The Internet of Things will challenge the status quo of how IT and development organizations operate. Or will it? Certainly the fog layer of IoT requires special insights about data ontology, security and transactional integrity. But the developmental challenges are the same: People, Process and Platform. Companies are harnessing data in ways we once associated with science fiction. Analysts have access to a plethora of visualization and reporting tools, but considering the vast amount of data businesses collect and limitations of CPUs, end users are forced to design their structures and systems with limitations. Until now. As the cloud toolkit to analyze data has evolved, GPUs have stepped in to massively parallel SQL, visualization and machine learning.
The next XaaS is CICDaaS. Why? Because CICD saves developers a huge amount of time. CD is an especially great option for projects that require multiple and frequent contributions to be integrated. But… securing CICD best practices is an emerging, essential, yet little understood practice for DevOps teams and their Cloud Service Providers. The only way to get CICD to work in a highly secure environment takes collaboration, patience and persistence. Building CICD in the cloud requires rigorous ar...

Large industrial manufacturing organizations are adopting the agile principles of cloud software companies. The industrial manufacturing development process has not scaled over time.
