AKRON, OH -- (Marketwired) -- 07/08/14 -- Companies can enhance their employee wellness programs by adopting measures to help reduce risks associated with occupational skin diseases and educating employees about the importance of hand hygiene.
Workers in factories, automotive shops, construction, and other dirty environments encounter tough soils and irritants that can combine to create hand health problems. Companies pay more than $1.4 billion annually for medical care related to employees' contact dermatitis and another $500 million in productivity losses.(1)
To counter such problems, GOJO recommends that employers audit their procedures that relate to hand hygiene and skin health, and educate workers about proper handwashing and conditioning. Skin health needs analyses can determine what employers can do to avoid or minimize problems.
"Contact dermatitis and other skin-related disorders can contribute to missed work and could lead to problems with employee morale and quality of life," said Harold Tyreman, GOJO vice president for sales and marketing in automotive, industrial and textiles. "The good news is these problems can be mitigated easily at handwashing basins."
"GOJO strongly advocates that employers promote materials that provide guidance about healthy handwashing and conditioning, and provide employees with effective products," Tyreman said.

Fact: storage performance problems have only gotten more complicated, as applications not only have become largely virtualized, but also have moved to cloud-based infrastructures. Storage performance in virtualized environments isn’t just about IOPS anymore. Instead, you need to guarantee performance for individual VMs, helping applications maintain performance as the number of VMs continues to go up in real time. In his session at Cloud Expo, Dhiraj Sehgal, Product and Marketing at Tintri, wil...
