Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM), the storage and information management services company, has hired Greg W. McIntosh as senior vice president and general manager for Iron Mountain Canada. Succeeding Pierre Matteau, who is retiring from Iron Mountain after 17 years of service, McIntosh will lead Iron Mountain’s Canadian business, which provides services for records management, data management, document management and secure shredding to more than 12,300 customers.
“Greg brings a potent mix of executive leadership, innovative thinking and transformational business development experience,” said John “JT” Tomovcsik, executive vice president and general manager for Records and Information Management, North America at Iron Mountain. “Today, our customers require us to do more than simply store and access their information. Increasingly, they want our guidance and thought leadership to better understand the value and usability the information can bring to their business. With his diverse experience, Greg will play an important role in helping develop the types of tools and services our customers need, allowing us to deepen our existing customer relationships and add new ones.”
Greg joins Iron Mountain from D+H, a provider of technology solutions for financial institutions. Here he held a number of executive leadership roles, including his last as executive vice president, head of collateral management services, a $200 million business. Previously, he co-founded Cyence International Inc., a provider of lifecycle management software and service solutions to the financial services industry. Greg also was a vice president of structured finance for CIT/Newcourt Capital, and began his career as a senior accountant with KPMG in Toronto.
“Iron Mountain understands that its customers need more than just a safe place to store their information,” said McIntosh. “I look forward to joining an amazing team where my experience in developing information management tools will help meet those customer needs and continue to grow our business in Canada.”
A chartered accountant, Greg holds a bachelor of mathematics and a masters in accounting from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario.
