Hourly Employment Marketplace, Snagajob, Launches Separate Mobile Apps for Job Seekers and Employers Designed to Revolutionize the Hiring Industry

Snagajob's New Mobile Apps Reduce the Process of Finding an Hourly Job From Weeks to Minutes Using a Smartphone's Video, Photo and GPS Technology

RICHMOND, VA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/09/14 -- Snagajob, America's largest hourly employment marketplace for job seekers and employers, officially announced the release of its two new mobile apps, designed to meet the unique needs of hourly hiring, where long assessments and in-depth interview processes are outdated. Both apps capitalize on the current technology environment, connecting job seekers and employers instantly and more personally.

"In a matter of seconds a job seeker can find and apply for a job in a way that's fundamentally more personal and allows them to make a true first impression, leveraging photo and video, all from their smartphone," said Snagajob CEO Peter Harrison. "In seconds an employer can reach out, identify the individuals they really want to connect with, schedule an interview through their calendar and arrange to meet."

Available for iOS and Android, employers can use the Snagajob for Employers app to find qualified candidates, get to know them through a new "Video Apply" function and put them to work, fast. Likewise, through the Snagajob Job Search app, job seekers get a more efficient application process -- once a Snagajob account is established, they can find a relevant hourly position and submit an application in less than a minute through the "One-Click Apply" feature.

The new "Video Apply" feature allows job seekers to record and upload a short clip of themselves to include with their application and lets employers gauge the personality fit and enthusiasm of applicants before scheduling an interview, saving time and energy traditionally wasted evaluating unsuitable candidates.

Businesses can now complete the hiring process from their mobile device with the Snagajob for Employers app:

  • Quickly and easily post a job
  • Find qualified candidates in your area and invite them to apply immediately
  • Screen with standard filter questions, availability and video
  • Make your next hire quickly and confidently

Job seekers can find and apply for relevant job openings in just a few taps using the Snagajob Job Search app:

  • Search and apply for jobs based on location, job title and/or qualifications
  • View open positions in the area in list or map view
  • Connect with potential employers using One-Click Apply
  • Stand out from others with the ability to record a 30-second video

"In the age of mobile technology, people seeking hourly work no longer need to spend days going door to door dropping off applications, or hours customizing their resume over and over to never get a call back," said Harrison. "For businesses, Snagajob's employer app provides peace of mind knowing that it's possible to fill an immediate hiring need when it is most essential, without disrupting day-to-day operations."

With more than 15,000 jobs added daily and over 350,000 job postings available at any one time, Snagajob is the nation's number one source for hourly employment. Job seekers can search for specific jobs by title, industry or company and filter their results by specific locations. Seekers can also opt into daily job alert emails, increasing the opportunities employers have to get their active job postings in front of motivated job seekers.
