CANTON, MI -- (Marketwired) -- 07/09/14 -- Aero Communications Inc. today announced it has acquired Phoenix Installation Services, LLC, a leading provider of broadband network construction and maintenance services in the southwestern United States. The acquisition increases Aero Communications' national footprint and extends its capabilities in the telecommunications infrastructure service industry.
Phoenix Installation, headquartered near Dallas, Texas, supplies network construction services to leading broadband network operators and related service partners. The company's capabilities include underground and aerial construction, fiber optic cable splicing, testing, and maintenance. Phoenix Installation operates in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
Aero Communications provides turnkey network deployment services to broadband, cable, telecom, and wireless service providers. These services include engineering, construction, and testing of aerial and underground fiber, small cells, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), and cell towers. Aero also performs residential and commercial installation for communications service providers. The addition of Phoenix Installation strengthens Aero Communications' footprint in the southwestern United States.
"Phoenix Installation's team is top-notch, and their customers give Phoenix rave reviews. In addition to expanding our geographic footprint, this acquisition gives us access to a significant pool of talent in the southwestern U.S.," said Greg McCray, CEO of Aero Communications. "We're enthusiastic about what this means for our business and more importantly, what this means for our customers."
The company will operate as Phoenix Communications, Inc., an Aero Communications company.
"We're extremely pleased that Aero Communications has chosen Phoenix Installation to augment their wireless line of business," said Steve Purcell, CEO of Phoenix Installation. "Our customers have been asking us to expand our territory and provide additional services, and working together will enable us to do just that."
Phoenix Installation is Aero Communications' third acquisition in the last ten months. Last August, Aero Communications acquired CableNet, a Philadelphia based provider of installation and network services to broadband network operators. Aero purchased Minneapolis based Mill City, a leading provider of cell tower construction and maintenance services in the Upper Midwest, in January.
