PORTSMOUTH, NH -- (Marketwired) -- 07/09/14 -- Trunity Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: TNTY) (OTCQB: TNTY) ("Trunity"), a pioneer of eLearning technology solutions that transform the educational experience, today announced that in collaboration with Michael DiSpezio, noted educational author, television host and stage edutainment performer, the Company will be releasing a transformational learning platform, MindBenders Educational Learning Series in September 2014.
Developed by Trunity and directed by reality-based science television producer Brian Leckey, MindBenders is comprised of a 25-episode series of educational, reality-based shows created and hosted by DiSpezio, MindBenders' Chief Scientist; and co-hosted by fellow MindBenders and internationally recognized science TV hosts Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara. The series features an accompanying education classroom website where teachers and students can collaborate, MindBenders Lab Kits for in-classroom experiements and MindBenders Challenges. MindBenders is available exclusively through the Trunity eLearning Platform and Knowledge Exchange.
Featuring professional production and broadcast quality coupled with special effects, animations and rich graphics, each MindBenders show instantly and effortlessly captures student attention with a motivating visual that sets the scene for further learning. From catapult launches to human glow sticks, these engaging hooks are delivered in terms of sophistication-appropriate coverage that has emerged from established grade level standards and are aligned with the vision of Common Core. Each MindBenders episode culminates with a hands-on project or minds-on application, called Mindbenders Challenges, that extends the learning experience. Students may be challenged to construct devices, engineer solutions and apply what they have learned, or further enrich their understanding by assuming the role of scientist, mathematician or engineer.
MindBenders will offer students and educators across the globe with the opportunity to actively engage and benefit from enhanced, reality-based learning experiences focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); and the series is designed to meet the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in the United States. For established and fixed curriculums with insufficient coverage of NGSS or those programs that lack an adequate engineering module, MindBenders' individual learning objects can be flawlessly integrated into the current offering. There's no need for educators to invest in a complete new NGSS curriculum; instead by enriching class coursework with a collection of MindBenders all the requirements will be addressed with a more complete scope and sequence. In addition, teachers searching for more thorough coverage can address identified gaps by offering up an episode of MindBenders assembled around specific themes, subject disciplines or dimensions of learning. MindBenders also provides parents who choose to home school their children with a powerful set of home teaching resources that they need for properly teaching in the digital age, leveraging mobile devices and tablets to transform the home learning experience.
Nicole Fernandez-McGovern, Trunity CEO and CFO, stated, "Trunity was founded on the belief that advanced digital technology holds the power to effect true, positive and profound universal change in how education is delivered and experienced. We want to empower students with the skill sets and higher thinking strategies they need to succeed in the 21st century." Continuing, Fernandez-McGovern added, "We immediately recognized that this incredible teaching team has long shared our perspective and passion for fusing innovative technologies, such as the Trunity eLearning Platform, with fun and inspiring educational content to create entirely new paradigms for teaching and learning. By working together and fully leveraging Michael, Tory, Kari, Grant and Brian's proven skill and expertise in edutainment, we anticipate that the MindBenders Educational Learning Series will prove to be a winning initiative, popular among students, teachers and school administrators, alike -- while also serving to further distinguish and extend Trunity's growing reputation as one of the true pioneers in the global education industry."
On July 14, 2014 in San Carlos, California, Trunity will be hosting a special invitation-only "Behind the Scenes - MindBenders Set Tour" for a select group of influential educators and decision makers who will be treated to a private viewing of the show modules scheduled for release in September, and will meet the talent behind the transformative learning series. Select members of the national press will also be invited. Pricing and availability of the MindBenders series and MindBenders Lab Kits will be announced in August.

Today we can collect lots and lots of performance data. We build beautiful dashboards and even have fancy query languages to access and transform the data. Still performance data is a secret language only a couple of people understand. The more business becomes digital the more stakeholders are interested in this data including how it relates to business. Some of these people have never used a monitoring tool before. They have a question on their mind like “How is my application doing” but no id...

In IT, we sometimes coin terms for things before we know exactly what they are and how they’ll be used. The resulting terms may capture a common set of aspirations and goals – as “cloud” did broadly for on-demand, self-service, and flexible computing. But such a term can also lump together diverse and even competing practices, technologies, and priorities to the point where important distinctions are glossed over and lost.

All clouds are not equal. To succeed in a DevOps context, organizations should plan to develop/deploy apps across a choice of on-premise and public clouds simultaneously depending on the business needs. This is where the concept of the Lean Cloud comes in - resting on the idea that you often need to relocate your app modules over their life cycles for both innovation and operational efficiency in the cloud. In his session at @DevOpsSummit at19th Cloud Expo, Valentin (Val) Bercovici, CTO of Soli...

Information technology is an industry that has always experienced change, and the dramatic change sweeping across the industry today could not be truthfully described as the first time we've seen such widespread change impacting customer investments. However, the rate of the change, and the potential outcomes from today's digital transformation has the distinct potential to separate the industry into two camps: Organizations that see the change coming, embrace it, and successful leverage it; and...

Regulatory requirements exist to promote the controlled sharing of information, while protecting the privacy and/or security of the information. Regulations for each type of information have their own set of rules, policies, and guidelines. Cloud Service Providers (CSP) are faced with increasing demand for services at decreasing prices. Demonstrating and maintaining compliance with regulations is a nontrivial task and doing so against numerous sets of regulatory requirements can be daunting task...

Fact: storage performance problems have only gotten more complicated, as applications not only have become largely virtualized, but also have moved to cloud-based infrastructures. Storage performance in virtualized environments isn’t just about IOPS anymore. Instead, you need to guarantee performance for individual VMs, helping applications maintain performance as the number of VMs continues to go up in real time. In his session at Cloud Expo, Dhiraj Sehgal, Product and Marketing at Tintri, sha...

The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to simplify and streamline our lives by automating routine tasks that distract us from our goals. This promise is based on the ubiquitous deployment of smart, connected devices that link everything from industrial control systems to automobiles to refrigerators. Unfortunately, comparatively few of the devices currently deployed have been developed with an eye toward security, and as the DDoS attacks of late October 2016 have demonstrated, this oversight can ...
