NEW YORK, NY and MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/10/14 -- Boundary today announced that an increasing number of companies have selected Boundary to monitor modern, highly-distributed applications running on public cloud infrastructures. Boundary will be highlighting its solution today at the AWS Summit at the Javits Center in New York City.
Cengage and Infor Global recently joined a growing list of companies that have selected Boundary for its unprecedented visibility into their AWS infrastructures. Other Boundary customers monitoring AWS environments include: Omnifone, Wattpad and Whisper.
A major challenge of monitoring in the cloud is the ephemeral nature of cloud instances. Boundary addresses this dynamic nature by automatically identifying changes in AWS instances and updating the infrastructure topology. The solution's second-by-second views of application health and infrastructure performance provides the unprecedented visibility organizations using AWS need to anticipate and solve problems, while minimizing downtime and performance issues.
"Boundary offers a more complete view of what's going on in our cloud infrastructure so we can deliver the best reading and writing experience to more than 30 million Wattpaders around the world," said Ray Slakinski, Lead DevOps at Wattpad. "Now we are able to see traffic between nodes so we can quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve issues that could lead to performance degradation."
Additionally, out-of-the-box integrations for AWS CloudTrail, AWS SNS, and AWS CloudWatch enable customers to use Boundary more effectively in an Amazon environment.
"Organizations running critical applications on AWS require a monitoring solution designed specifically to address the elasticity and complexity of the environment while supplying the visibility needed to anticipate future performance issues," said Gary Read, Boundary CEO. "Boundary is the only solution that shows latency views by the second to help companies identify and address how the AWS infrastructure is affecting their applications."
Boundary provides a Unified Monitoring solution for Web-Scale IT that allows customers to monitor their entire application infrastructure from a single solution and improve application availability and performance. It is designed to deal with the challenges stemming from modern highly distributed, cloud based applications by combining high frequency performance metrics collection and analysis with its unique understanding of the real-time application topology. Boundary is privately held, based in Mountain View, CA and backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Scale Venture Partners, Adams Street Partners and Triangle Peak Partners. We are always online. We access our data, our finances, work, and various services on the Internet. But we live in a congested world of information in which the roads were built two decades ago. The quest for better, faster Internet routing has been around for a decade, but nobody solved this problem. We’ve seen band-aid approaches like CDNs that attack a niche's slice of static content part of the Internet, but that’s it. It does not address the dynamic services-based Internet of today. It does...
