BitTitan to Showcase Data Migration and Onboarding Solutions at Microsoft WPC 2014

BitTitan's Cloud-Based Automated Solutions Enable Partners to Cost-Effectively and Easily Move Companies to the Cloud

KIRKLAND, WA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/10/14 -- BitTitan, the IT change automation expert for cloud-based migration and onboarding, and the silver-level sponsor for IAMCP U.S., will showcase the new capabilities of its automated email and data migration solution, MigrationWiz™, at the upcoming Microsoft® Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC), booth #1707. Also at this year's event, BitTitan will unveil its new partner program and new strategic partnerships.

Latest Products and Solutions

Moving a company's email or data to the cloud, such as Office 365™, can be a complex, risky, time-consuming and expensive process when migrating manually or using sub-par technology options. BitTitan's MigrationWiz is a battle-proven, fully automated cloud-based solution that helps IT, consultants and systems integrators overcome these barriers for a seamless migration, saving time, cost and resources, while increasing profitability.

"BitTitan enabled and supported us in delivering an excellent IT service to our customers, making the move from various platforms to Office 365 quick, easy and secure," said Ville Kankare, system consultant at Appelsiini. "By adding MigrationWiz to our arsenal, we not only removed the complexity of email migration, but also significantly lowered our total cost of migration, enabling us to pass along those savings to our customers. Additionally, where other migration methods would have left our customers offline for months, with MigrationWiz we were able to perform the migration with zero downtime or lost productivity."

BitTitan will showcase a number of the new and recently announced capabilities for MigrationWiz, including:

  • New user interface (UI), featuring data migration project capabilities
  • Expanded Archive Migration projects, now supporting PST migration, Microsoft® Exchange Archive, and Google Vault, in addition to the existing Amazon S3 migration capability
  • Support for co-existence migrations
  • Public folder migration, enabling migration of shared folders, supporting all file types, existing folder structure, permissions and email reply-ability
  • Document migration, enabling migration from one cloud storage solution to another, retaining the existing folder structure

BitTitan will also showcase UserActivation™, a complete solution to automate the move to Office 365 with zero downtime. As part of the complete onboarding lifecycle, UserActivation automatically generates Office 365 accounts, creates users, assigns licenses, manages all DNS changes, migrates mailbox data, and configures desktop applications to connect to the cloud. In addition, BitTitan will demonstrate DeploymentPro (previously BitTitan Desktop Deployment) that automates the configuration of existing Outlook clients to connect to Office 365 accounts. This is ideal for companies with a remote or dispersed workforce, eliminating the need to travel to each location to configure individual desktops.

"The move to the cloud presents a tremendous business opportunity for our partners," said Geeman Yip, CEO of BitTitan. "The complexities associated with migration and onboarding should not hold them back. Our latest automation capabilities give our partners even more flexibility to choose the right product and process for the right project, making the move quick and easy while helping them capitalize on the cloud opportunity."

Two weeks ago (November 3-5), I attended the Cloud Expo Silicon Valley as a speaker, where I presented on the security and privacy due diligence requirements for cloud solutions. Cloud security is a topical issue for every CIO, CISO, and technology buyer. Decision-makers are always looking for insights on how to mitigate the security risks of implementing and using cloud solutions. Based on the presentation topics covered at the conference, as well as the general discussions heard between sessi...
Countless business models have spawned from the IaaS industry – resell Web hosting, blogs, public cloud, and on and on. With the overwhelming amount of tools available to us, it's sometimes easy to overlook that many of them are just new skins of resources we've had for a long time. In his general session at 17th Cloud Expo, Harold Hannon, Sr. Software Architect at SoftLayer, an IBM Company, broke down what we have to work with, discussed the benefits and pitfalls and how we can best use them ...
With all the incredible momentum behind the Internet of Things (IoT) industry, it is easy to forget that not a single CEO wakes up and wonders if “my IoT is broken.” What they wonder is if they are making the right decisions to do all they can to increase revenue, decrease costs, and improve customer experience – effectively the same challenges they have always had in growing their business. The exciting thing about the IoT industry is now these decisions can be better, faster, and smarter. Now ...
The cloud. Like a comic book superhero, there seems to be no problem it can’t fix or cost it can’t slash. Yet making the transition is not always easy and production environments are still largely on premise. Taking some practical and sensible steps to reduce risk can also help provide a basis for a successful cloud transition. A plethora of surveys from the likes of IDG and Gartner show that more than 70 percent of enterprises have deployed at least one or more cloud application or workload. Y...
Discussions of cloud computing have evolved in recent years from a focus on specific types of cloud, to a world of hybrid cloud, and to a world dominated by the APIs that make today's multi-cloud environments and hybrid clouds possible. In this Power Panel at 17th Cloud Expo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, panelists addressed the importance of customers being able to use the specific technologies they need, through environments and ecosystems that expose their APIs to make true ...
Microservices are a very exciting architectural approach that many organizations are looking to as a way to accelerate innovation. Microservices promise to allow teams to move away from monolithic "ball of mud" systems, but the reality is that, in the vast majority of organizations, different projects and technologies will continue to be developed at different speeds. How to handle the dependencies between these disparate systems with different iteration cycles? Consider the "canoncial problem"...
Too often with compelling new technologies market participants become overly enamored with that attractiveness of the technology and neglect underlying business drivers. This tendency, what some call the “newest shiny object syndrome” is understandable given that virtually all of us are heavily engaged in technology. But it is also mistaken. Without concrete business cases driving its deployment, IoT, like many other technologies before it, will fade into obscurity.
Container technology is shaping the future of DevOps and it’s also changing the way organizations think about application development.
