Fiksu Hires Kenneth Goldman as Company's First Chief Financial Officer

Former Black Duck and Salary.com CFO Joins Executive Team to Support Company Growth

BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/11/14 -- Fiksu, developer of award-winning app marketing technologies, today announced it has hired Ken Goldman to be the company's first Chief Financial Officer. Ken joins Fiksu from Black Duck Software, where he was named CFO of the Year by the Boston Business Journal in 2009.

As CFO, Goldman will join the executive management team and lead Fiksu's financial operations, focusing on the continuing creation, enhancement and realization of shareholder value in the company.

"We're thrilled to expand the strength of our executive team by bringing Ken on board," said Fiksu CEO Micah Adler. "His proven track record of driving growth for companies in rapidly changing industries is impressive. We're looking forward to leveraging his experience and expertise to help Fiksu evolve to the next level and realize its full potential."

Goldman brings more than 30 years of financial and operational experience to Fiksu, along with a proven track record of successfully leading companies through both IPOs and acquisitions. As SVP and CFO at Salary.com from 2006 through 2008, he built the systems and infrastructure to take the company public, leading a fast track IPO that was 8x subscribed and sold more shares than planned, as a result of significant investor demand. Ken also led Salary.com through a number of acquisitions, both pre and post IPO.

"I knew that Fiksu was an opportunity I couldn't pass on, and I feel so lucky to be here," said Goldman. "I think this is just one of those companies you're going to look back on and say Fiksu defined the industry in the same way you might talk about a Facebook, Twitter or Amazon. I fully believe Fiksu is going to have one of those places in history when the story is written."

Earlier in his career, Goldman held executive positions as Chief Financial Officer at Lodestar Corporation, Student Advantage, MediaMap, Shoplink.com, Liberty International Holdings, and Goldweitz & Company. As with his prior leadership roles at those organizations, Ken joins Fiksu during an exciting time. The company has grown 300 percent year over year, and recently expanded to 260 employees across three continents.

The Jevons Paradox suggests that when technological advances increase efficiency of a resource, it results in an overall increase in consumption.
