SOUTH WINDSOR, CT -- (Marketwired) -- 07/11/14 -- Online ticket marketplace TicketNetwork.com today released its report on ticket sale trends for Q2 2014, when legacy acts like Paul McCartney led concert category sales.
While McCartney has been no stranger to hot ticket sales in recent years, a couple of Q2 comebacks spurred fan excitement and high demand for tickets.
Fleetwood Mac was last on the road in 2013, but the revelation that singer Christine McVie would rejoin the lineup for the first time in two decades renewed interest in the band's fall 2014 tour plans. Meanwhile, pop diva Cher not only launched her first national tour in nearly 10 years this March, she also used Q2 to announce ticket sales for a second tour leg scheduled to start this fall.
"These were two of the biggest announcements in concerts so far this year, and both are very special in their own ways," explained Danielle Metcalf, Site Operations Manager at TicketNetwork.com. "The fact that both announcements fell around the same time and that both acts have such strong and loyal followings really helped bolster an already strong quarter for concert ticket sales."

Whether you like it or not, DevOps is on track for a remarkable alliance with security. The SEC didn’t approve the merger. And your boss hasn’t heard anything about it. Yet, this unruly triumvirate will soon dominate and deliver DevSecOps faster, cheaper, better, and on an unprecedented scale. In his session at DevOps Summit, Frank Bunger, VP of Customer Success at ScriptRock, will discuss how this cathartic moment will propel the DevOps movement from such stuff as dreams are made on to a prac...
