SOLON, OH -- (Marketwired) -- 07/14/14 -- 2014 marks 20 years of ECRM successfully providing business solutions to buyers and sellers across the CPG industry.
What started as an idea scribbled on a napkin grew into a concept that changed the way buyers and sellers go to market. Charlie Bowlus, a wholesale and retail veteran, sought to build a platform that efficiently connected buyers and sellers. By identifying the fundamental shortcomings of the traditional trade show, Bowlus developed ECRM with the structure needed to effectively streamline the business process while providing value to both the buyers and sellers in attendance.
ECRM hosted its first event in 1994, where strategic meetings were scheduled between buyers and sellers based on product categories. Today, over 50 ECRM events are held each year and focus on a myriad of different categories while still attracting the best and the brightest in the industry.
For the last 20 years, ECRM has inspired new and innovative solutions that have and will continue to redefine the buyer seller equation. Today, ECRM's current CEO, Greg Farrar is leading the organization into a bright future. While staying true to the spirit in which ECRM was founded, Farrar sees endless potential for this growing company and expanding into new categories and industries.
