WatchDox, a provider of secure enterprise file-sync-and-share (EFSS) solutions to protect, share and collaborate on files on any device, today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Visionary quadrant in the first-ever “2014 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing (EFSS)” report, published July 2, 2014.
WatchDox was evaluated by Gartner on 15 criteria among 19 vendors in the market and is one of just two vendors positioned in the visionary category based on the completeness of its vision and ability to execute on that vision. According to Gartner, the EFSS market is expected “to exceed $500 million by 2016, with more than 70% of the total software revenue generated in North America.”
“Increasingly, IT security, mobility and enterprise collaboration planners are not bent on banning personal services. Instead, their priority is to establish control by deploying enterprise-class file synchronization and sharing capabilities that secure mobile content and manage sharing and collaboration,” Gartner stated in the report.
“We believe our visionary positioning in the Gartner Magic Quadrant reflects our commitment to deliver the most secure and flexible EFSS solution in the industry,” said Ryan Kalember, chief product officer at WatchDox. “As demand for a borderless workplace grows, we anticipate more IT and collaboration leaders will recognize the benefit of our data-centric file protection for secure collaboration and productivity.”
The WatchDox platform enables enterprises to securely sync files, share documents and work with files wherever they need to go, even on devices beyond IT control. WatchDox uniquely combines the enterprise file sharing, collaboration and mobile productivity tools IT managers want with the control, tracking and integration to existing systems that enterprises need to stay secure and compliant.
