CAMPBELL, CA, and TORONTO, ON -- (Marketwired) -- 07/16/14 -- iHookup Social, Inc. (OTCQB: HKUP), a mobile application positioned at the intersection of dating, social media and location based connections, is pleased to announce that it has entered into the beta phase of development for an enhanced, feature-rich update of its popular social dating app. The company anticipates this new version to be available in the App Store in August 2014, pending Apple approval. Coinciding with the development, the Company has produced a video to showcase these features and increase consumer awareness in anticipation of the app's availability in iTunes.
The new-and-improved app will be driven in part by its updated UI, zip code search, and video sharing within chat session functionality. But by far the most significant enhancement is the integration of the Poynt location based search technology through the partnership with Sprylogics International Corp., ("Sprylogics") (TSX VENTURE: SPY). The coming iteration of the app features a revolutionary design to offer local venue and hot spot recommendations that facilitate a virtual connection between users, moving the connection from the virtual world to a physical 'hookup' location.
"We are nearing the finish line on our latest version of the iHookup Social application and with the addition of the Poynt local search technology, we will soon be delivering search and discovery of "LOCAL" places, hot spots and events from within the app, encouraging our users to venture outside the virtual realm and connect based on a local venue of their mutual choosing," stated Robert Rositano, CEO, iHookup Social. "We don't believe that in the vast world of online dating that this has ever been done quite like this."
"We also believe these advancements simultaneously improve the User Experience (UX), as well as our ability to monetize a rapidly growing user base," added Rositano. "As the company continues to enhance the user experience through a series of feature releases, we can now begin to extend the company's revenue opportunities beyond subscription based memberships. Facilitating real connections and driving users to a location or venue is just the beginning of our multi-faceted social commerce strategy."
"We are excited about our Poynt local search integration with iHookup Social, bringing the best local search data to its users," says Marvin Igelman, CEO of Sprylogics. "These new local search features will help make iHookUp unique and further enhance the user experience with the ability to search, invite a friend or plan to meet for a coffee or at a restaurant nearby all without leaving the app."
A special preview of the new video is available for a short time at the link below:

Up until last year, enterprises that were looking into cloud services usually undertook a long-term pilot with one of the large cloud providers, running test and dev workloads in the cloud. With cloud’s transition to mainstream adoption in 2015, and with enterprises migrating more and more workloads into the cloud and in between public and private environments, the single-provider approach must be revisited.
