Topaz Labs announces the release of Topaz ReMask 4, a major upgrade to their Photoshop image masking plug-in. ReMask 4 makes selecting subjects fast and easy, which is perfect for photographers interested in background replacement, selective adjustments, compositing, and more.
"ReMask 4's technology allows people to get the best masks with the least effort," said Dr. Ben Ma, who leads research and development for ReMask. "It's our contribution to the state-of-the-art in image matting methods. Compared with Photoshop, ReMask is very easy: just roughly outline the subject and press 'Compute.' The improved foreground extraction in ReMask 4 now separates the subject and the background faster and more accurately. The new technology in ReMask 4 enables people to spend less time on masking, and more on creating beautiful photos."
ReMask 4 includes a new Edge Shift feature, a redesigned user interface focused on ease and speed, faster foreground recovery processing, and many usability improvements. It is a free upgrade for existing ReMask customers.
"We're thrilled with the great feedback we've received about ReMask 4!" said product specialist Kristine Waggoner. "It's so rewarding to provide photographers with a product that completely reinvents a difficult task like masking."
Topaz ReMask is compatible with Mac and Windows, and plugs into existing software like Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, and PaintShop Pro. Existing ReMask customers can upgrade to Topaz ReMask 4 by downloading and installing the update from http://www.topazlabs.com/downloads. Other interested photographers can learn more and try ReMask for free at http://www.topazlabs.com/remask.

I'm a lonely sensor. I spend all day telling the world how I'm feeling, but none of the other sensors seem to care. I want to be connected. I want to build relationships with other sensors to be more useful for my human. I want my human to understand that when my friends next door are too hot for a while, I'll soon be flaming. And when all my friends go outside without me, I may be left behind. Don't just log my data; use the relationship graph. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Ryan Boyd, Engi...
