Inwood, NY, July 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- CSU Industries, a leading third party support and solutions provider for companies worldwide, hosted an exclusive training and educational event on Monday, July 7. Customers from around the country gathered at CSU headquarters in NY for a day filled with stimulating classes and peer-based networking.
Hewlett Packard’s Jeff Dabal kicked off the event with a presentation on HP 3PAR technology, highlighting the reasons why customers should be looking at 3PAR to replace their EMC, NetApp and legacy EVA storage. Tweets using #CSUTechnologySeminar were blasted across the Twittersphere as HP and others were relaying the action going on at CSU.
During the lunch session, Steve Rubin of Work IT Safe mesmerized the crowd with hands-on demonstrations of Microsoft Hyper-V 2012. Rubin demonstrated the movement of virtual servers on a network utilizing CSU’s internal production domain.
The afternoon sessions included presentations on the HP c-Class Blades product portfolio, HP’s Networking products and FlexNetwork technology. All facets of the data center were discussed – servers, storage, software and networking.
The networking continued at Citi Field over dinner and drinks and an 11th inning Mets win, capping a winning day for CSU and the participants in CSU’s Technology Seminar.
The event was followed by a “hands on” 3PAR technology demonstration given exclusively for CSU customers at the brand-new HP Demo Lab in NYC on Tuesday, July 8. Jeff Dabal of HP took the attendees on a tour of the demo data center, where he created real life scenarios on the 3PAR installed in the data center to demonstrate the benefits of the virtual storage technology.
This event is one of a series of planned presentations CSU intends to host from a broad range of HW & SW OEMS. For more information about CSU or for more information about the technologies highlighted at the event, contact CSU at [email protected] or 1-516-239-4310.

Things are changing so quickly in IoT that it would take a wizard to predict which ecosystem will gain the most traction. In order for IoT to reach its potential, smart devices must be able to work together. Today, there are a slew of interoperability standards being promoted by big names to make this happen: HomeKit, Brillo and Alljoyn. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Adam Justice, vice president and general manager of Grid Connect, will review what happens when smart devices don’t work togethe...
