WASHINGTON, DC -- (Marketwired) -- 07/18/14 -- Cricket Media Group Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: CKT) ("Cricket Media" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Joan Auchter, Jon Zeitler and Jason Patenaude as officers of the Company, each of whom currently hold positions with one or more subsidiaries of the Company.
Joan Auchter replaces Nina Zolt as the Company's Chief Learning Officer. Ms. Auchter brings to Cricket Media almost 20 years of experience in the education field. She was previously the Executive Director of the American Council on Education, the Chief Program Officer and Vice-President of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and the Executive Director of The College Board. Ms. Zolt continues to serve on the Company's board of directors.
Jon Zeitler has been appointed Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and Legal Affairs of the Company. Mr. Zeitler has over 10 years of executive and consulting experience with an emphasis on interactive media and technology. Jon was previously the Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development of Zipcar, Inc., the world's largest car sharing and car club service and, prior to that, he spent almost 10 years in various roles at AOL, Inc. and its affiliates.
Jason Patenaude has been appointed as the Company's Chief Operating Officer. Jason Patenaude brings to Cricket Media over 20 years of experience in the publishing industry and in digital media development, including mobile applications, electronic books, digital editions and micro-sites. As the former President and Chief Operating Officer of Carus Publishing Company, Mr. Patenaude has extensive experience in electronic publishing, children's publishing and product development.
The Company also announces that Linda Dozier will no longer formally serve as an officer of the Company, though she will continue as an employee.
